yeah I saw no contact at all. Might be down to the quality of the stream I was watching, but no matter which angle, I couldn't see it. But still, when you concede a 4th goal after that, and especially one like that, the penalty is rightly relegated to a sidenote.
Like, I still can't get over how they "defended" that. It's Cole Palmer, aka their only consistent goal threat. And you just watch and let him do that? Infuriating.

Just watched highlights again
Antony getting praised for his outside the boot cross on the 3rd goal is hilarious
If he had a right foot, as 99% of right wingers do, its schoolboy stuff

I dont know man, I was watching on Fubo and they went over and over and I have no idea where the Ref saw that as a Pen. If anything, it looks as though he dove like hell or, maybe....maybe, tripped over his own feet.
Again, we all take schadenfreude at our Rivals' dismay but that one? If I were a United fan I'd have been livid over that call.
And then yeah. The Palmer goal. Nobody defended that at all. Just press the ball. They let him have all the time in the world.
"Hey Cole Palmer has the ball...should we press him? Nah...he'll miss. Surely."

Liverpool fans are gonna be apoplectic if they don't win this one. So many wasted chances and one mistake to gift United a goal even as they've look abysmal most of the match.

Diaz missing a sitter to win for Liverpool sums up their game.

People #### on City for being one of the most illegal, expensive and financially corrupt teams on the planet.
In any Sport.

So to be more precise, people were criticizing their record against the top 5. But sure, let the tears and angst flow.

They've literally bought titles with blood money.
For a while I chuckled about it because I hate United with a passion and they bought titles in the 90s and 00s as well, but at least they did it with honest money.
For a while it was even fun to see their 'Noisy Neighbours' kick their faces in, but eventually you cant take solace in that anymore when its devastating the entire sport that we love.
People hate Chelsea because they bought titles with Oligarch money that was stolen from people and washed through a 'reputable' industry in England.
City aren't winning because they worked hard and built a great team. They're winning because of graft, bribes and unlimited resources.
It always reminds me of the UC Berkely psychological experiment of Monopoly.
They asked for student volunteers to play Monopoly. They would randomly flip a coin and determine a player who gets to start with twice as much money as everyone else and unlimited loans from the bank and then watch as that player just kills everyone else whilst believing it was due to their skill, as opposed to simply having more resources than everyone else.
And that player? Oh yeah. Thought it was because they were an awesome player and gloated and celebrated. They completely ignored the fact that they were gifted an unreal advantage over everyone else.
Which makes it even more hilarious to me that you, someone who seems 'Pro-Union' and 'Pro-Labour' is an ardent fan of a team that only experiences success because they simply exploit the hell out of everyone and win everything because they genuinely have limitless resources and are not playing on an even field.

It’s goals like today that don’t show in the stats, but they’re still all his doing. And £15m is nothing these days. How can you pass that up?

Could you imagine if City bought the Phoenix Coyotes?
"How do you spend to the Cap?"
Oh, well, we've got a very lucrative arena sponsorship and jersey logo deal from Etihad airlines! They're also building our new arena! Whats that? They didn't technically buy the land...they just...sort of...purchased Arizona.
No, not the arena land. All of it. The whole place. And you cant do jack about it now because its technically Sovereign land now.
Sorry chaps.

Seems light to me based on the previous deductions, every round of penalty is getting weaker and weaker - until the system changes these teams should have had the book thrown at them for breaking the rules knowingly which Forest and Everton's owners clearly did and more importantly should have to accept the penalties from the league, being allowed to appeal for weeks on end is ridiculous.
But the worst part is that whole system is so unclear it is impossible to understand the criteria and why Everton only got 2 points this time. Would clearly be better to move to a simpler system in the long run. I know they are talking about a luxury tax right now, but at minimum, simplify if to a one year assessment, translate overage amounts in pounds directly to a specific amount of points, and get rid of the appeals process.

Well...I dont know if this is going to be better but it can hardly be worse.

The Premier League has confirmed that it will introduce semi-automated VAR offside technology (SAOT) next season -- but it won't be in place for the start of the campaign.
SOAT removes the manual element of detecting when the ball has been kicked and placing the lines onto players and to pitch level, making it quicker and more accurate. SAOT also provides a much-improved graphical visualisation of an offside decision, rather than the current method of displaying lines on the broadcast camera.

Nothing these clowns do surprises me these days.
And I thought the NHL was bad, but at least they'd implement Rule Changes or new tech or whatever and test-drive it for a season in the AHL and then implement it.
This half and half, 'try it on the fly' nonsense is ridiculous.
It goes back to a joke you made a while back, I think I liked it better when we just trusted the linesman to raise his flag and called that a day.
All this "player's elbow was microns across the plane" or whatever seems ridiculous.

Sheffield United will be deducted two points at the start of the next season that they are in the English Football League over defaulting on payments to other clubs, the EFL said on Thursday.
The charges relate to the 2022-2023 season, when Sheffield United were promoted from the Championship, and the club were also given a further two points suspended, which will be activated if they default on a payment to another club.
