Haha, I don't care about any code I just think it looks stupid to over celebrate when you're getting your a$$ kicked.

Yea I’m with Roof on this one. Shows the immaturity of Vlad. He simply doesn’t take the game seriously enough

A team can also be out of the race in the first month which the Jays are in danger of doing. Ride a hot hand and maybe build some momentum and give your team a chance to stay in it while your stars figure it out. Schneider, much like Monotoyo has zero feel, read for what is unfolding in front of him. It is all what that the stats say. Moves for the sack of moves and way over thinking the lineup.
My expectations are too high. With this pitching staff, this team should be a contender and I don't think they get anywhere close to a wildcard spot this year. Completely disappointed in this franchise and complete lack of direction.
1-10 in the series and you shush the crowd on a meaningless homerun? Peak Vladdy Jays right there. Maybe do something with the leadoff doubles you have been fed the past few games.

In other news,, Manoah started in Dunedin today and is getting absolutely destroyed
4 walks
4 hits
6 earned runs
1 home run
2 Ks
54 pitches, only 23 strikes
...and he's not even out of the 2nd inning yet

Poor guy can’t win. Guy does his job and people still rag on him.
I’m gonna enjoy watching him hit bombs this season.

He hasn't done his job the last couple of seasons.
I'm actually stunned that people are OK with his antics last night. I have a feeling if Bo did the same thing, people would be all over him.
It was an incredibly immature moment that shows he's not that focused on winning. When you are down that much, run the bases and get back in the dugout.

Vladdy doesn't do his job nearly well or often enough. That's one of the biggest issues with the current iteration of the Toronto Bluejays. Their star players aren't star players for the most part, and in Vlad's case he was a 1 WAR first baseman, which is something you could probably nab off waivers at any time.

Dan Shulman made me laugh out loud when he said, “Angel Hernandez is behind the plate. Weeee’ll see how that goes…”

Manoah continuing to be the Manoah from last year. Brutal rehab start with 7 runs allowed (6 earned) and 4 walks in 1.2 innings.

I think he's done.
Maybe he can resurrect his career with another organization, but he's not getting it done here.

The lineup today is just awful. Kirk at cleanup and Biggio hitting 5th. Gross.

Hernandez's awfulness is playing in Francis's favor.

Oh I have no doubt.
I legitimately cannot believe he's still employed.

I’d like the Jays to consider going to a more traditional leadoff hitter setup to lengthen the lineup. It would be nice to see them try this:
1. Clement 3B
2. Guerrero 1B
3. Bichette SS
4. Springer RF
5. Turner DH
6. Biggio/Schneider 2B
7. Kirk C
8. Varsho LF
9. Kiermaier CF
Yes it would potentially group the lefties pretty close together but Varsho and Kiermaier aren’t exactly big threats against right handed pitchers either right now.

Re Manoah, without watching the game I don’t know if he was trying some pitches out, though it’s not ideal. Again, this wasn’t a quick offseason fix. There’s the weight, mechanics, and mental game that has to be adjusted just right. It’s an uphill battle and I suspect we won’t see him this year at all.
