Am I remembering correctly that Pospisil missed the last Oilers matchup due to suspension?

I'll probably ask this again in the inevitable "pospisil suspended" thread, but discussion around here has made me wonder this...
In every discussion about a questionable hit, people debate whether or not the hitter "left his feet." I have two questions: 1) is that an explicitly prohibited action in an NHL rule, or just a rule of thumb, and 2) what is it about this action that supposedly makes it so much more egregious than if the skates stayed on the ice?

Pospisil being suspended would be great for team tank.
I really see him as one of the straws that stirs the drink so to say. Our record with and without him speaks for itself.

Has anything been announced yet for a Pospisil hearing? Shouldn't we have heard by now since they play tomorrow?

Yes. It's one of the two things that's considered charging.

Nothing on the Player Safety twitter account as of yet about any hearing for him.

Well, the rule says “jumps into”. So feet leaving the ice may or may not be a factor, depending on when it happened, and why.

He hit him hard and that's how its supposed to be. Looking at all these replays his elbow was tucked how it was supposed to be. The 5 minutes was too much to start with.

Despite giving up 4 goals, Wolf was still a .909SV%. Going to see a lot of rubber the next couple seasons.

I was worried they would win, fantastic tank job at the end. Pospisil really putting the tank on his back

Always a concern against Winnipeg. They're just not very good.

Yeah.

And he missed the HC due to not being recalled yet.

I want to see healthy/not suspended Pospisil against the darlings! If he wants to go and make a borderline hit, he can make it on you know who.

Glad everyone is so happy losingHopefully they buy tickets to watch it. We could very well be losing 450 to 500 times in the next 10 years

There is no cap on how long losing can last.
This stretch of hockey has not been good for player development.

Jacob Trouba makes that hit every game without consequences.

No. He played in the February 24th game. He even scored the second goal. He missed the January 20th game because he was injured in the Leafs game right before.
