I should also say, go on and enjoy AEW, there is nothing wrong with watching what you like. I just thought that CM Punk interview was interesting and it put AEW in my mind once again. I hope they make money and succeed.

Apparently AEW Collision was here in London this past weekend. AEW does such a good marketing job, I found out yesterday, LOL. Not that I would have gone anyway.
I am loving WWE going back to Attitude Era feel. I wonder if that's where we are headed with Raw and PPV's going to Netflix. I believe Smackdown is going to USA? I don't think that they are afraid tp push the envelope. Should be interesting.

You know Cody's gonna win at mania since he's been so completely beat down the last two raws. Unless they have a retribution angle lined up for smackdown on Friday. With a WWE legend coming to assist to keep the Rock at Bay.

The Bucks killed the ratings (yet again) last week. The rating dropped massive numbers when they appeared, then went back up the next segment.
They should have been the first on the firing line. People tune them out in masses, it's plainly obvious by now. I feel bad for Okada for aligning with them.

When WWE(F) was hot they had the edgy stuff but they also only had 2 hours of Raw. That leaves you wanting more, and they did a good job of building storylines to get you to buy the PPV.
WCW had 3 hours of Nitro way too long, and Thunder for another 2 probably killed them.
WWE kept going for a bit after adding Smackdown but it started to become a lot as well.
I am surprised they are able to pull it off considering the Social Media age.

Is it the Bucks or is it this idiotic storyline they saddled Okada with as well?
They just need to drop this whole EVP angle...it's horrible and think they think it's some inside joke that somehow is throwing shade at CM Punk but really all they are doing is cratering their own product.

I like Danhausen and Archer, but I agree with the rest. They really did Scorpio Sky dirty after he came back from injury.

So ratings drop during the Bucks/Private Party match, they go UP when they're off television, and even the women's match has higher ratings. Ratings consistently drop whenever those two show their faces. I don't know how you can even debate it at this point.
It's been obvious for some time, their appeal continues to slip week after week: http://www.wrestlingepicenter.com/ne...94386070.shtml
They're only draws when they can leech off of someone else's popularity, like Omega and Sting.

Is there a point to this post?
Samoa Joe is 45
Copeland is 50
Roderick Strong is 40
Okada is 36
Their most recent tag champions were Sting (65) and Darby (31)
Their trios champions are Billy Gunn (60) and The Acclaimed (34 and 33)
Those are the guys that hold all the major belts in AEW right now. 35-40 isn't really that old for wrestling and really guys wrestle until they are 50 quite easily if managed properly.

Yeah Archer could probably stay as a mid card monster heel but really they aren't using him now all that often

Swerve is 32
Hangman is 33
MJF is 28
Mox is 38
Omega is 40
All main eventers in AEW, almost all of which have already been AEW world champions and the remaining one is about to do the same. And Omega and Mox are basically the same class/generation of wrestlers as WWE's top guys.
Pointing out Joe's and Copeland's age is not a good indicator of the product. Both can still go and draw fans, just as the Rock does with WWE on his respective scale.
I mean, aren't there rumors of Austin having one more match?
Dude is almost 60.
Let's not use age as any benchmark here for product.

Other than that, there's no point in the post. He's just upset we've been talking about AEW problems for a page or two and wants to try and steer us back to why WWE is not good, or something.

No, iron Maiden brough up Joe and Copeland's age as problematic.
That you two seemed to get defensive and completely melt down is both not surprising and very uninspired. Oh well.

Just to change the subject. I'd encourage everyone to watch the Terry Gordy darkside of the ring episode.
Its probably one of the saddest episodes that that've made.
Terry was a tremendous wrestler who got started in the ring at 14 years old. He was probably one of the greatest naturally talented workers that I've ever seen that could work in the ring and talk.
He was absorbed into the party lifestyle of the Freedbirds and overdosed on painkillers and fell into a coma for 5 days. When he came around he needed to learn how to walk and talk all over again. but he wasn't the same and became the face of the drug culture in wrestling.
McMahon bought him into the WWE as a favour to Michael Hayes but they put him under a mask to protect him because he couldn't work anymore (reflected of Kerry Von Erich.
The Gordy died of heart failure at the age of 40.

I honestly didn't even see Iron Maiden's post...so since you didn't quote it it just seemed like you were dropping wrestlers ages into the thread with no context or elaboration and I honestly didn't get the point.
Our posts actually indicate we both agree that age is a bit irrelevant in wrestling as guys have been able to wrestle until 50 quite easily.
Honestly man you're the only one in this thread that seems to feed into the tribalism of AEW vs WWE.
Blaster, myself, and most others just want to talk about both products and praise and criticize them as required. It just happens to be that over the last 6 months or so AEW deserves more criticism than the WWE. Even with AEW's great signings they really haven't done a good job with Okada or Mone yet to make them seem like stars.
I think if you look back to even just last year I heavily criticized WWE for the decision to not payoff the Sami Zayn story at Wrestlemania and keeping the original Cody Rhodes plan. (I actually still think having Zayn vs Reigns last year with Reigns winning and then having Rhodes vs Reigns this year would have been the right decision).
In terms of the roster...they either need to cut those guys...or do a hard brand split like you indicated on the prior pageand have them all exclusive to RoH and no longer have any of the ROH guys or titles appear on AEW TV. The product has suffered since they tried to force RoH into the product and it hasn't worked but TK keeps trying to
Force it.

Does it bother you that I don't enjoy WWEs product at the moment?
It's just not for everyone. And I explained already why I like AEW. I've also explained why ratings are a dumb measure to true wrestling fans. I also think you're being wholly unfair to Okada and Mone, who just arrived. Give them at least a cup of coffee, Christ Almighty.
Why do you insist on continuing creating a tribalism narrative?
It's weird.
