I had a burger from there about 1.5 months back as my work did an informal Holiday get together there. The burger hit the right notes for me and the tater tots were surprisingly delicious despite not being overly crispy.

Problem is, the food wasn't so good that I'd want to drive from the deep South of the city to get it. Too many other burger places that are equivalent and more convenient.

Anyone tried Burger Priest down on 130th? Just noticed it the other day, not sure how long it has been there.

It's on the north side of the street in that cluster by The Keg (kind of by Canadian Tire).

I have yes, pretty good. I think they used to be REALLY good, but then were bought out by the same company that owns Swiss Chalet/ Harveys/ Kelseys which has made it more mediocre. Still a decent burger though

Alumni is my favourite sandwich shop in town and they actually make a great burger too. I had the double burger which is basic but delicious. Next time I'm going to try the Kahuna burger they have on special.

I've gone a few times.

I find that it depends on who it working.

There is a big black fella that works sometimes and he seems super engaged and the food just seems better when he is there.

Overall, it has always been better than other fastfood chains.

Costs a bit more, but is worth it. IMO.

PS: whenever we go my boy gets two double cheeseburgers.

Has anyone been to class clown burger downtown? It's all over social media with supposed real reactions to it being the best thing this city has seen in years. Hard to tell these days, to me they come off as a campaign more than genuine. Especially with so many "random" tik toks from customers all at the same time this month even though it opened last September.

But always looking to try new great burgers in Calgary.

Fries seem to be frozen crinkle cut, but with the Coney sauce, it's pretty good. Donald McRonald was mushy and tasted like cheese and ketchup only, so try a different one.

I enjoyed it. It's really good.
But they also just have hit at the right time with the right concept - tapping into one's nostalgia about growing up eating Mcdonald's.
They've nailed all the details.

All their burgers seem to be takes on existing ones. They're tasty but I wouldn't go out of my way to get one.

Class Clown burgers are excellent. I'd leave the fries though. Eating in is a great experience and obviously the more the burger is in transport the further away it tastes from eating it as prepared. Worth the visit.

I've tried 3 of the Class Clown burgers and they're the best in the city in my opinion.

Still looking forward to the day Shake Shack opens here. Heard they're planning on opening 35 restaurants in Canada by 2035 starting this year.

Class Clown burgers are good, but I wouldn't consider them much or any better than Lil Empire, Clive, or Boogies.

Seems like "best" tag associated with Class Clown is from the "vibes", drinks, and aesthetics.

Rain Dog Bar’s (in Inglewood) Smashburger is outstanding, and my favourite burger in the city right now (I think they call it “the healthy baby burger” but I’ve just ordered it as “the smashburger”). Awesome spot.

Got around to Bussin Burgers the other week, and wasn’t much of a fan.

Lil Empire would be second for me next to Class Clown. Clive and Boogies not even close although i'll still go to Boogies because their milkshakes are so damn good

This.

Great little date spot and the burger is incredible. It's called the Healthy Baby Burger as that's the name of the pop up that one of their chef's co-owns. So keep an eye out for Healthy Baby as they do lots of incredible stuff.

Class Clown is fantastic but what really sets it apart is the beer and wine menu. It'll be even better when the hype dies down and you dont have to wait an hour to get in. Or can sit and session said beers without getting the side eye to move on...

Thank you for this.

My wife loves Burgers, a number of years a burger has been her present (usually with a trip wrapped around it).

We were talking about burgers the other day.

We gonna hit this place up, she really likes Class Clown

I wasn't very impressed with Class Clown. I tried the Winnipeg Fat Boy- and it seemed like somebody looked at a picture of one instead of trying to make it taste like one.

For those who don't know, a Fat Boy is a burger with chili on it. I don't know if the name translates into something more significant in Greek, however the places in Winnipeg that name a burger "Fat Boy" are typically either Greek owned or started as Greek owned. Juniors and Georges are two of the ones that have a few locations.

Truly disappointing as I was hoping we had found our Flames pre-game spot. But that along with sub-par fries and terrible beer selection (not a single IPA when I went there, and just one pale ale)- I won't be back. However if you like lagers and sours, they have a few of each of those.
