That's from 2014. Good for them but were they out there again today?

Wow I've never seen a quicker fall on a banana peel than the post you were replying too. Amazing.

Which is hilarious in its own way.

Even when you point out the provincial gas tax to "level-headed" UCP supporters, they refuse to acknowledge it or fall for the UCP's ruse of it being a "reduction to the 'NDP's' provincial gas tax".

It's incredible how strong the bubble is.

Some dip$?&t’s were set up outside Golden today, Canadian flag upside down and all. A few toothless grins with misspelled placards completed the comedy show. Sorry if I’m sounding crass but I’m so bloody tired of these “freedom convoys” and “Tamra Lynch (honestly don’t care enough to look up her name) love conquers all” bs. Just get a life and start doing something productive with your time.

Let them. The longer they stay the more they undercut their cause and make it awkward for the populist politicians who support them.

They have to understand that these sort of operations do nothing but want the voters that sit more center want to distance themselves from them and the party they support. How are we a decade into this and the PCs and their strategists still can't put two and two together? Instead they go all in and pander to groups like this and alienate the majority of the voting base.

If they want to pay more carbon tax by slow rolling down the highway, so be it.

Drove through there just after 8 this morning. About 30 police were lined up in the ditch making a barricade to prevent the protestors from getting to the road. Looked like police outnumbered protestors at that time.

That is good, yesterday going to the mountains they were able to reduce each way one lane, but on my way back I think they were able to move them into the shoulders. If they can keep them there, then they will by gone by lunch time.

I don't think I could control my temper if these imbeciles actually delayed me in traffic.

They are so incredibly stupid.

I do think it is an absolutely wonderful sign for the country that the police are doing their jobs.

Truck honking it's horn in down town Ottawa, an National Emergency? No. Police refusing to stop the truck from honking it's horn for days/weeks on end, a national emergency? Yes.

Neck Tattoo lady standing in the middle of a 110 KMH highway a national emergency? No. Policing forcing her to stand in the ditch instead, a national emergency? No.

We're in a much better world this time.

I noted to my son that the venn diagram of these guys and the anti-vax protestors would be a perfect circle...

Google Maps showing just an "yellow" patch near the Petro Canada right now, whereas yesterday westbound traffic was backed up "red" to Range Road 40 for much of the day.

If there was a traffic injury or worse to a "regular" person minding their own business that was linked to a blockade like this, I am curious about the legal implications to the organizers and participants.

While I don't envy a hyper-litigious society like the United States, I would be curious about what precedents already exist in Canada, or would result, from a hypothetical scenario like that.

Personally, I would hope that they would get sued into oblivion. Of course, multiple legal defence grifts by the usual suspects would result, because grifters gonna grift.

I support their right to protest. Do it somewhere out of the way. Wave signs, honk horns…I don’t care. Get onto the roads and GTFO.

I dunno, I could think of more productive and valuable things to do with my time than protesting in a ditch outside the city if I was unemployed too. But hey, gotta stick it to the CBC, the WEF, Laurentian Elites, the global cabal, the lizard people, and anyone else who may infringe upon 'muh freedom'.

Sounds like 5 tractors didn't obey orders to stop and caused a multi vehicle collision.
