All his HR's are straight as an arrow. Pretty tough as it looks like they picked up on it the second he wound up.

Varsho has no business in the middle of the order. Did they learn nothing from last season?

The Houston starter is nonsense. Throw fastball/changeup for strikes.

I ask again, and again, and again. WTF is up with this defence at the expense of offence tradeoff? 4 innings down and hack hack hack, 0 hits. Terrible approaches.

I, for one, am stunned that a team that did almost nothing to address their hitting woes look exactly the same as they did last year.

Jays gonna get no hit. For like the 6 time in the last 10 years. Unreal.

What a story for the Houston starter though. His wife gave birth this morning and he didn't want to miss a start because he's trying to make the team.

But also. Let that set in. A dude trying to make the rotation is pitching a no hitter. Meanwhile the Jays starter who was trying to make the rotation just let up meatball after meatball.

Their infield got significantly worse, and they didn't improve their mid offense. It's wild that there basically just banking on internal improvement.
Meanwhile our division only got better.

Especially when Atkins knows (or atleast he should know) that if they don't win a playoff series this season he might be looking for a new job next winter.

I don’t know how many beautiful summer evenings and afternoons I’m willing to sacrifice to watch this year’s team.

Yeah. I wonder if they can fire Schneider, Guillermo Martinez, and Ross Atkins all this week.

But like actually. Why the #### was Martinez brought when his sole job is hitting. And the hitter suck.

yeah, that one was a head scratcher. I'm guessing because he was Guerrero's confidant this past season they didn't want to get rid of yet another Guerrero friend. But god damn, any other guy would've been punted, and deservedly so. It's still early but none of these guys are showing discipline at the plate.

I also suspect in their haste to project a stable organization in their pursuit of Ohtani, they didn't want to fire anyone as well. But nobody showed promise aside from Walker.

What's the Jays thread equivalent of posting red cars, in this case not for a Jays win, but a Jays hit so they don't be on the national sports shows tonight for getting no hit?

I want a no hitter for two reasons - good story for the pitcher, and also to expose stupid defence at the expense of offence reasoning.

They deserve to be shamed nationally for this effort.
