I fell asleep on the C-Train coming home from Uni once.
I had a nice pair of glove that were sitting on my leg.
I woke up and they were gone.

I don’t think I’ve had COVID yet, but when people say you have no taste, is it zero taste or just the taste of you gross mouth. Everything tastes gross not like water.

no taste.
Like eating a pepper or an onion is like crunching on celery.
It was a pain in the ass because you sort of defaulted to foods with good mouth feel. I found myself eating a ton of carbs (breads, pasta, rice) as opposed to salads etc.

I think something else is going around. Both my wife and kid had a respiratory thing early this week, and both complained everything tasted gross for a couple of days.

I've known some people who have changed taste instead of no taste - either can't taste specific things, or a favourite food tastes awful.

I only noticed it when eating pasta or Ichiban (aka emergency asian pasta). Just gross slimy, tasteless noodles, none of the aroma or flavour.
