Yes, I put a pretty small reply in this thread after catching it last week:
"Shogun fourth episode, this show is not missing a beat. It just gets better and better. I really hope they can keep this up and knock it out of the park."
I started it after reading your replies to me asking about it a few pages ago. I'm trying to take it slow though rather than sprint through stuff like I normally do
Phenomenal so far

Generation Kill was brilliant. Excellent recommendation, UB. If that's really the way it happened - and I have no reason to doubt Evan Wright's account - then holy ####, what a ####show.
I'll forever be intoxicated by the Hollywood representation of war, but this series related more to me than anything I've seen. The best word I have for it is 'sobering'.

I've watched the first 15 minutes of E1 three times so far. Its just, I havent really had the opportunity to devote the kind of attention to it that the show requires.
Its not something I can throw on in the background and keep up with and when I get home from work I'm too fried to really again focus on it as much as it needs.

Totally. I think that's the main reason I've been able to take it slow so far, I'm generally not in the mood to give something my full attention. Most of my movie and tv show watching is on my second monitor while playing video games

It kind of reminds me of trying to watch 'Dark.'
You have to really have the time, patience and focus. Its worth it, dont get me wrong, but its not 'easy, casual' viewing.

I love Shogun! It’s phenomenal, and my only dislike is that it’s only 10 episodes and I know it’s going to be one that I’m sad is over and can’t see it again for the first time.

First 2 episodes of the 3 Body Problem have been really good imo.
Like any adaptation, I am sure a lot from the book has been changed to make it more 'watchable' for the masses.
That said, I've enjoyed the different timelines and overall idea so far... Will have to read the first book after this season is over (assuming they are tracking each season with one book)

Just finished the third season of Slow Horses and have to agree, it wasn't as good as the first two. Great show though, will definitely pick up for season 4.

Read a couple of (glowing) reviews and talked with a pal who's watched it. Not sure I want to as the books were phenomenal, with physics that probably bemuses someone much smarter than me. Not sure I want to see a video version where essentially one character has been divided into five though.
So, on the fence about watching, though I probably will because it's supposed to be graphically fantastic.
