A lot of rumours flying around on social media this evening about some big news about to drop from the Royal Family. The BBC has updated its logo on social media and its website to the same black one that was seen when the Queen died and other news outlets are believed to be on standby for a major announcement to come.
A few Union Jacks have also apparently been lowered to half mast across the UK. Never know what to believe about the Royals on social media but there sure has been a lot of weird stuff going around about Kate and Charles lately.

A spin through the wayback machine web archive would suggest the BBC's website logo has been white font on black boxes throughout 2024 so far. Wouldn't shock me at all for there to be a big announcement to drop from them but that particular piece of information doesn't quite seem to bear out.

This whole hubbub with Kate is truly baffling. There are so many ways to play this that could have dispelled the rumors that have been mounting... but they have taken none of them. The doctored photo they released and then excused as Kate playing around with photoshop just makes it all the more bizarre. Why would Kate need to use photoshop ever? or her own social media account for that matter?
I think she's in a coma or something.

I actually think it’s probably a lot less sinister. And basically boils down to the incompetence of Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace and their respective media teams. She’s almost certainly totally fine and they just enjoy being #######s about it and not sharing updates unless they want to.

Frankly I give so few fatas about the Royal family I wasnt even aware she was 'missing.'

We all need to rally around our beloved Royals at this time. I think I speak for all of us when I say we look to the Monarchy for strength and leadership and our nation continues to rely on their guiding spirit. They're dealing with so much now and they've always been here for us.
We're with you Kate, may you show the same dignity and determination our King has shown
