Yeah, I watched it again and noticed that also.
But he did chime in with something about ordering meatballs, IIRC.

I actually think it was the shorter guy who was sitting in the cahir that mentioned the meatballs and salad.
I think that Paulie was more invovled with Johnny Sack than the Brooklyn crew. I think it was more his connection to Johnny and his feelings at the time than a desire to work with that crew. Plus, it seems with the way Phil looks at everyone from Brooklyn that it would be unlikely that he would want to still work with Paulie when he first took over.

the best part in the blue comet episode was when the raging bull music came on in the background and mid serious convo, tony and sil broke into slow motion boxing. funny stuff.

we got a warning from Movie Central about the finale, looks like it may not be as sasisfying as people are hoping for

If you are inquiring about the last episode of The Sopranos, which aired the evening of Sunday, June 10th, on Movie Central, please note that the ending was broadcast in its entirety.
Although it may have appeared that the ending was “cut off” or otherwise incomplete, the ending, as you viewed it, was in fact an intentional creative decision made by the series creator David Chase and was not a systems malfunction.

I bet it ends with someone pointing a gun at Tony then it fades to black and you hear a bang. The end.

I am thinking it will be something like that, but I dont think it will be that cut and dried. There wouldnt be people calling up movie central to complain if it ended like that, it would be fairly clear thats how it was intended to be. I am thinking Tony will be in the middle of a gun fight, or standing face to face with Phil(or maybe Paulie) each with a gun pointed at one another......and suddenly the show ends.

I agree 100%. The biggest reason I could see Chase doing an ending like this is that it keeps a plethora of options open for a movie, if he and the cast should ever agree to do one down the road.
The sudden ending IS a major cop out though, now if a movie is made any darn thing in the world could have happened after the ending and Chase doesnt have to justify anything. He just has to start the movie with the closing scene from tonights episode and then flash 5 years later on the screen and he is good to go.
