They should call the Elias Petterssons Thing 1 and Thing 2.

The Sedins were V1.0 of this (or should have been).

That comes across as rather convoluted.

In that case the Canucks make the conference finals. I'm not completely opposed to that.

And the Oilers are eliminated.
I think this is a scenario we can all work with.

Eff that. The Canucks can get swept in the 1st round with the entire team playing a Lindholm playoffs performance.

The Oilers must lose, as early as possible and as badly as possible. To anyone. All else is insignificant.

Of course both.
That's why I said a Van/Col Western final is something "we can work with". I didn't say go Canucks go.

In reality, I think Vegas & LA are kind of weak this year. I'd be surprised if one of Edmonton of Vancouver don't come out of the Pacific so I'd prefer the lesser of 2 evils if it comes to that.

Lindholm reallv struggling. Truly thought he'd be at least a little better playing on the Canucks.

I expect WhereRUChrisOSullivan to re-emerge and tell us how he knew Lindholm was KHL bound by 2024.

I wonder if Lindholm is going to take a one year, prove it deal next year just to try to improve his value. I can't imagine a team looking at him right now and wanting to sign him to a long term, big money contract. He wasn't good this year in Calgary and is even worse in Vancouver. Major red flag.

Probably signs a deal with CBJ to see if he and #13 still have some magic together.

I wonder what the market will be for a guy coming off of a 43 point season? Feels like anything more than 6 million is an overpay.

Clearly, there was still a trade market for him this trade deadline and looking at the return the Flames got, he was still. Highly desirable and sought after. Question for me is how his play in Vancouver impacts that value. Free agency costs nothing but money, and GMs will always pay dumb amounts, so I think there will still be interested teams. I agree with the poster who suggested maybe a 1-year deal is what Lindholm himself pushes for. Get a 1-year deal with CBJ, get 70+ points with Johnny and he'll get a big payday the following year.
