Which is why even if you block him - the thread is still ruined.
This is one of the best threads on CP. And this clown is ruining it.

You know who's great? Daniil Miromanov. What a player.

Everyone replying to him is the only reason though. If they all blocked him too he’s talking to no one and we’ll just keep seeing that he did post. It’s much funnier

Is Poirier playing games again or just skating still?

Very curious about him

The good news is that I have 7 people on my list. All 6 others I've added were gone in a short amount of time, usually just because they quit posting. So here's hoping.

Can you elaborate Scorp? I haven’t been able to see him play yet.

This makes you wonder if we’ve always had good NHL pro scouts but Treliving never used them because he always cluttered the lineup with useless vets.

This is aspirational but i’ll never happen when there are people like me who can’t resist encouraging him to post so that I have more content to make fun of.

I’m selfish and needy.

We should really blame Bingo for this. “Oh hey lurkers! Everyone sign up!”

Sure we got a couple of emerging gems. But then we also got the guy nobody at HFBoards or Capfriendly likes. It’s like needing a starting goaltender and paying a 2nd for .892 Jake Allen.

This is the thing that always surprises me. I get the need to provide a retort to a post you disagree with and maybe even go on a 6-7 message debate, but once it seems clear that a poster is a troll or even if you just simply won't be able to have any reasonable conversation about it, I don't know why people don't just stop responding. Is it to get th eladt word in? Do they think they'll provide some magical message to change the other person's mind? Or maybe people do it because it's public and they can't possibly stop responding? I'll never understand how these debates go on for 100s of posts lol.

Again, if you're saying it's a 2nd that means you think NJD will make the playoffs with 40+ games from Jake Allen

This is definitely Bingo's fault.

He needs to clean up his own mess.

He's no world beater, but he's a guy who with some work could be very effective. He's got a great shot and skates well. He needs defensive work but TBF he's two or three games in and has had very little practice time on what may be a completely different system (it was new to all the D at the beginning of the year and they struggled at times).

They only had one pro scout (Pleau) under Treliving IIRC. Hiring (or transferring from amateur scouting) a bunch of pro scouts was like the second thing Conroy did after his promotion.

Well I'm not Scorp, but Miromanov is a big guy who moves well with good puck skills and a heavy shot. His defensive game has been decent as well, but decisions made with the puck need to be made faster.

Was at the game last night, I definitely noticed his shot a couple of times. Seemed to track the play well & get into good spots. Liked joining (even leading) the rush, can see why he's already getting a chance on the powerplay.

Though to be honest our powerplay's been so bad most of the year they should probably try everyone else there too at some point because nothing works, lol.

Again, I’m saying you’ll trade him to an actual contender for a 7th after playing him 40+ games and you’ll still have to pay a 2nd to Montreal while the team you traded him to makes the playoffs and NJ misses… again lol.

Miromanov has been great imo. Good shot, advanced stats look good, eats minutes. Came out of a 4 game stretch with 3 blowouts even with positives everywhere else.

Pretty clear the guys discounting him have never seen him play. He looks like an NHLer through and through and will be just fine on the second pair.

Conroy has been good at finding guys who were stuck in numbers games. Sharangovich is obviously the biggest example, but this guy may be another. A good powerplay Dman is something the team needed.

In all, he's played exactly how I expected him to play in calgary, with some shooting% luck to boost it.

If he ends up as a consistent 25g/50p guy, thats where I expect to slot Yegor at.
Then why did your team trade him for a 25/50 guy on an expiring contract?

He's also been playing center and thriving at the position (underlying stats support that), which is something I doubt anybody expected when the trade was made.
