Lol, I am so glad I escaped that.. right around the Ice Age expansion. Everyone hated my blue-white control decks, I don't know how many times I almost lost a Wrath of God because a friend almost tore it to shreds.

Or a favorite lolcat??

This is one of my absolute favorites, multiple levels of nerd required:

many geekness levels to get this one, laughed my ass off

My favorite geek joke of all time....well, okay....my two favorite geek jokes of all time.

1. There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those that don't.

2. Q. Ask me if I'm a tree
A. no

Just to clarify, are we talking about season 1, or the ones that magically appeared as if they were there all along in season 2? And what about guys like Hauler?

I'll go with the ever popular -

Have you ever shown up to a midnight selling/showing of a Harry Potter book/movie?

Have you ever dressed up as a character from Harry Potter?

I used to have a straight blue counterspell deck - right before Tempest came out - that had no creatures. The entire point was to frustrate my opponent into quitting. To this day, a friend of mine will not play magic against me because of that deck. I didnt win with it much more than I lost, but it was funny as hell watching an opponent try to cast three creatures a turn, and lose them all.

A few years ago I was at the Stampede Midway on a ride with a girl I was interested in. Anyhoo we were on the zipper (I think that's what it was called). At one point the ride stops at the top and we get tossed upside down. She had her glasses on her lap and they flew to the bottom of the compartment. I said "Don't worry I'll get them" and held out my hand. Just then the cart shifted again and the glasses flew perfectly into my awaiting palm.

I turned to her and said "hey did you see that, I used the force".

I thought it was pretty cool.

She wasn't impressed.

175 hours? Weak, I say, weak! (This ties into the "Have you ever subscribed to a MMORPG?" q.) I was a subscriber to FFXI for about 15 months, of which only 12 I actually played... However, for whatever reason, that game tracks your play time on each character (a real in-game geek meter), and before I left unceremonially -- my ex actually took the two PS2 systems that were set up for it when she left -- my play time was 57 days, 12 hours. That's 1380 hours in about a year.

Yes, I am a geek.

On a related note, have you actually spent upwards of $200 or more to have a side-by-side setup where you and your significant other can both play the same MMORPG at the same time?

Guilty again.

A few more came to mind:

Can you recite obscure "Legends" or memorable quotes from old video games? For instance, the Mysidian Legend in FFIV or that cheesy "Dost though love me?" "No." "But thou must!" from the original Dragon Warrior.

Have you read and re-read and re-read again your favorite Science Fiction/Fantasy series so often, you have had to replace the books....three times?

Did you always dream or want a medieval type weapon, and when you finally got it, you wanted to take it everywhere with you, just because that's what they do in all those medieval RPGs and movies?

Can you recite Pi past the most commonly known 8 digits? (3.14159265)

That's all I got for now.

When you hear the opening music for "Under Pressure", do you think "Oh, it's 'Ice Ice Baby'"? Are you disappointed when it turns out to be "Under Pressure"?
