What about the angle of Pat Paritsi (Or whatever his name is) as the Rat, Tony takes him out, alienating Meadow's love interest again. Just speculating on a possible side scenario to the final episode, although Chase doesnt have much time to be jumping into numerous story line's.

I used to think the series would end with Tony taking over New York, and ruling despite an abysmal and depressing home life (a la Michael Corleone in GF2)... now I'm thinking Tony is gonna get wiped out (though likely live... perhaps a movie detailing a return to power/getting out of jail?)
All of Tony's hardest hitting guys are gone. By his own hand. Furio was sent into exile, and Ralphie and Chris were whacked by Tony's bare hands. These would have been the guys to handle Phil and NY. Tony's top earner in Vito and also his own cousin were also wiped out because Tony was too soft to protect them.
Now, Tony's administration is gone. Silvio is in a coma (unlikely to come out in the next episode, though likely if there's a movie), and Bobby is pushing up daisies.
All he has left is an aging Capo in Paulie (who has already shown to be prone to blowing with the wind), and a rag-tag bunch of soldiers.
The end? Indeed...

Too many loose end, I sure hope it does not disappoint. The end is either going to REALLY good or a huge disappointment.
I remember hearing and ad on the radio or on TV that had Carmella saying something the effect that "this is our way out". That likely means nothing but I think Tony turning "states" is a very likely possibility.
But so is Pauly taking Tony out. They have always had a love/hate relationship. Tony going crazy when Pauly fixes the painting, when Tony is in the hospital, Tony not visiting him in Jail stuff like that.

Bobby frequented the hobby store. It isn't hard to gather that kind of info. Mob hits in real life often happen in places where the victom feels safe. As for the botched hit on Phil. Did they ever establish if that was really Phils mistress or not?

I have a feeling Carmelo and Meadow are going to be killed by a car bomb at Arties by Phil, sending Tony and AJ into the WPP where Tony will assume the identity of the salesman he was during the time he was in the coma.

I've read a bunch of completely different predictions on here for the final episode, all of which seem plausible. I like how Chase has left so many possibilities open that we have no idea what to expect on Sunday.
I also agree that not everything will be wrapped up, I dont see how Chase is going to have time to wrap up the whole Uncle Junior thing with everything else thats going on in only 60 mins.

Yes I suppose that would work actually. Is probably even fitting, considering his state the last time we saw him(sitting in that wheelchair all alone, looking depressed, petting a cat).
I also agree with what was said earlier- that Paulie will have something to do with Tony's downfall, or he is at least either secretly tied up with NY or the FBI. He seemed much too afraid to get on that boat with Tony in Florida, why would he feel this way if there were no reason to? I realize he saw that he was getting on Tony's nerves with his endless stories, the way Tony was nagging at him. And he was also remembering how Puss died. Still though, there was no reason for him to be that nervous unless he was up to something. I could see Tony's decision to not whack Paulie on that boat coming back to haunt him.

Perhaps the whole season has been a comatose dream, an extension of Tony being shot by Junior.
He wakes up for real....in the final episode.

Junior is already wrapped up, and I think it was a perfect ending...if anyone has noticed it seems that each main character has had an episode almost dedicated to them....Bobby was the first show this season, Junior had one, Pauley, Chris etc.. Junior sitting alone, in a mental hospital, in a wheel chair is the perfect real life ending...why does there need to be some conclusion around that...that scene symbolizes the reality that this show has produced...an aging old man with alzheimers and cancer, who just got beaten up, he sits alone gazing off into space thinking of the past and of the present. A reflection of his life when he was at one point the king of the mountain to somehow falling down into the state he is in...riches to rags...It goes to show, especially in the real life mafia, that the mob lifestyle while glamourous in the beginning, can never have a happy ending....that was the perfect scene to ending the character of junior, no need to see him dying, killing, or interfearing with anyone else, all the audience needs to see is a powerless old man who once had everything now have nothing. There is nothing else to prove with Junior, only for the audience to see him pass the time in the state he is in. That is the conclusion of junior, and I might add, one of the more powerful endings I have seen in a show in quite sometime.

Some pretty good points there. I think Junior may have run his course and anything else to do with him would be... a waste of time.
Another good point about the major characters each having a show dedicated to them - Bobby, Chris, Pauley, Junior, AJ. That leaves, in my count, Carm, Meadow, and Tony needing to have something major. Hmmm.

Sopranos titles are random. Sometimes theyre very telling and others, "The Blue Comet" are not.

Those clips are from previous episodes. I think that one comes from Season 1 when the feds play the tape of Tony's mom and Uncle Junior plotting to kill Tony. Carmela urges Tony to take the feds offer of protection. Tony flatly refuses.
I don't think Tony will flip. It would go against everything he's been for the past six seasons. To me it would be unbelievable even if it meant saving himself. I think it would be a huge blow to credibility of the series.
I can't see AJ trying to kill his dad either. AJ has failed miserably trying to kill himself and Uncle Junior. He doesn't have the balls. He may not respect his dad but deep down he loves him.
I could see some sort of confrontation between Paulie and Tony. Paulie used to feed Johnny Sack info. It's possible Paulie may have been a Brooklyn spy, even though most of that would have been concealed from the story.
It's possible that Tony gets pinched. During the first of these last 9 episodes, the feds were still trying to build a Rico case against him. That ship hasn't sailed.
Maybe Tony flees and goes into hiding after realizing the Jersey mob is unable to win this power struggle against Brooklyn. He has been putting money in offshore accounts for years. Is it enough to live on? Probably not in the style he's accustomed to, but he probably has millions stashed by now.

Not to nit-pick, but I watched the replay last night and it wasn't Paulie who asked to get a pizza. It was Carlo. I just don't know if I buy into this Paulie being a rat angle. My gut is saying there is no rat, but TOny will be in the end.

Pauly could or could not be a rat. But when he was feeding info to Johnny Sac. He was doing it under the impression that Carmine held him in high regard. Or at least that is what Johnny told him. When Pauly ran into Carmine at a wedding. He went upto Carmine to say hello. Carmine had no idea who he was. Right there and then Pauly knew that Johnny had been using him and he felt betrayed. So unless Pauly had a brand new relationship with Phil. I don't think he will be the rat.

There are other reasons that Phil ordered the hit on Bobby instead of Paulie then Paulie's going to join Phil. For one, Bobby was Tony's brother-in-law and had been moving up in the family. Paulie had pretty much plateaued at where he was at. He also knows that Paulie could be the "whoever's left" that Phil's crew would work with since Paulie's would favour money over loyalty more then Bobby would.

Also true.
Man there are so many small details that a guy forgets about. What a show.
