Exponentially more to old, greasy former and current oilers.

In a scrum this morning at optional practice, Zadorov referred to MacKinnon as "the best player in the world." He also said that he would build a team around MacKinnon "because he's a winner."

Zadorov also said that he would take MacKinnon over Auston Matthews and McDavid, for the fact that he has won the Stanley Cup.

I don't know if I agree that it's only because he won a Stanley cup, but I like it anyway. He's the more complete player and he's a winner.

Plain and simple, Lowe is in there because of decades of shameless and constant pandering to the various HHOf voting press. Giving scoops, rumors, team information in his position as GM, President, and overseerer of the Oilers from 1997 until he quietly left two summers ago, for all but the first year or so of Chiarelli as GM.

Cuddling up as close as he could to that press to get their vote.

Whether it be jock sniffers in awe of him or grateful for him helping them in their careers by giving them scoops in return for their vote, or, voting him to get him off their backs, ihe got those votes, 25 years after he retires, with middle of the road personal stats.

He got that honor and immediately had his ceremony to retire his number as an Oiler as well.

Pure ego.

Oilers playing at home against another non-playoff team . I look at Calgary running the gauntlet of TB, FLA, Canes on the road then Avs. And these losers get a butter soft schedule - non playoff team, rest, good team, rest, followed by two crap teams. Has bumonton had a tough stretch of schedule at all? Oh well, wait until they play a grinding series with a game ever second day. McMuffin won’t know what hit him.

I honestly can't think of a single stretch so far where they've faced any sort of adversity whatsoever.

They finally go up against a top team on Saturday against the Avs (after getting 2 days off), but then of course it's immediately back to the butter-soft schedule with two more games against bottom feeders. It really is amazing how easy they've had it for the entire season.

McDavid actually posed for a picture with it and autographed it. How that for Cringe?

Good, this will lead to them being ill-prepared to handle a series against tough competition (that's actually trying to win and compete) for 4-7 straight with potentially back to back dates mixed in there, since they won't have done anything like it all year.

I do wonder how many folks in Oilerville actually contemplated purchasing a van just so they could have this monstrosity painted on the side.

I'm all for hating on McDavid but honestly I feel bad for him there, you can see the discomfort on his face.

Based on the date in that tweet (Jan 3, 2016) he was still an 18 year old rookie.

And you have a grown man coming up to you, with that awkward as all hell picture, being like "Connor, Connor can you sign this for me and take a picture with it"

That had to be the most awkward experience of his life up to that point.

Oilers Fans Are No Good (and creepy).

Edit: I think that was Luke Gazdic in that picture...somebody should ask him what was going though his head sitting next to McDavid having to sign that abomination.

I think that may have been his second most awkward situation, pretty sure the first was when the cameras were showing him that Edmonton won the lottery in his draft year.

Ugh. I hope he doesn't get 100 assists. So happy he had one apple taken away last night
