		| Not included as ‘assets’ in a trade tree are the games that Calgary got out of both Lindholm and Hanifin. They got six seasons out of both players. Lindholm potted 148 goals and 209 assists for 357 points in 418 games, while Hanifin added 42 goals and 149 assists for 191 points in 420 games. Both were big parts of the Flames for many seasons.
In deciding to trade a pending UFA in Curtis Glencross before the 2014–15 NHL Trade Deadline, the Flames have a variety of assets today. Those are:

 Oliver Kylington
 Andrei Kuzmenko
 Daniil Miromanov
 VAN 2024 1st
 VAN cond. 2024 4th
 VGK cond. 2025 1st
 VGK cond. 2025 3rd
 Hunter Brzustewicz
 Joni Jurmo

The Flames have a good chance to get snag some points from the Panthers today. They've been riding a incredible high for the last two+ months and could be due a losing streak. Should be a good one tonight.

The Flames how they are currently constructed shouldn't be Florida ever unless they completely look past them.

Tampa had 9 shots in 30 minutes to start that game. They assumed it was going to be a cakewalk.

Tampa had no excuses but that's how they have played the entire year, up and down. Seems like the wheels are coming off.

The Panthers have looked pretty bad the last two games, simply no energy. It's a win-win for me, get to watch both teams at the same time and the Panthers don't need the points so hopefully the Flames win, they'll be that much closer to Vegas and dropping them from the playoffs.

Me neither.
Really underscores why you need to keep your asset base in a healthy state. I maintain that's been the biggest issue with this franchise for 30 years. They have been an an asset deficit. Which means you do things like fill your lineup with older and higher priced UFAs. And it limits what you can do in terms of trades.
I really hope this is a dawn of a new age, under Conroy, where asset management is a strength and not a weakness.

He's just not going to be the best player in the 2012 draft or the next Joe Nieuwendyk

The guy just always left you wanting more, felt like the talent was there if he would just crank up the intensity a notch.

I am now on the playoff train because why the hell not? The glass half full view is that Markstrom is playing at an all world level, Huberdeau appears to be settling in and improving. Weegar is having a fantastic season as are Coleman and Kadri. There are some young kids who are providing a spark, and guys like Mangiapane and Kuzmenko are wildcards in the sense that they could go on a heater and put some pucks in the net.
 Go Flames Go!!

Coleman has played the most games as a Flame after Backlund, Andersson and Mangianpane. Coleman is only in his third year of his deal. So much turnover lately.

A bit surprised he had the intensity required to sign a contract.

Panthers look like a team that is having a bunch of fun being a bunch of grumpy jerks on the ice. They play with a lot of physicality, that the flames can’t match up against. Really was hoping to see Pospisil go head to head with Nick cousins in the rat battle.
