He really shouldn't. Mercer alone would be a massive overpay unless it was Hanifin+Markstrom for Mercer. More than any goalie has gotten in decades

If any offer involving mercer was on the table (Hint, it wasn't), Conroy should be fired for not taking it.

Again, Jacob Markstrom seems to have really guaranteed calgary playoff success when they were competing.

Wait, my sources are telling me he won 1 playoff round, actively hurt his team in 2 years, and #### the bed vs the teams biggest rival in the playoffs the only time he made it letting in 5 goals a game.

I don't know how Devils fans feel about Fitz, but hard to imagine they are happy with him right now. The Toffoli-Sharangovich trade tree doesn't look particularly good for him, and instead of adding a much-needed star goalie, he pays a 3rd (or even 2nd) for Allen und accuses other GMs of extortion. Just feels he's wasting a part of their window and I'd be surprised if fans were happy with his work this year.

A) it would be a massive overpay
B) reports state he was immediately made unavailable in Meier negotiations
C) reports stating he was not made available in Markstrom negotiations
