ignoring that minor Damiani/Pettersen swap, there has been a Russian player involved in every Conroy trade (Zadorov, Kuzmenko, Grushnikov, Miromanov, Okhotiuk) ... bar his very first trade of course, that one only involved a player from Belarus (Sharangovich). Wild.

I was thinking, I wonder if he's going after all these Russians because they are less likely to want to leave for an American market? I also wonder if there is something to the idea of having a few players of the same nationality - makes it easier for them, and they are more likely to develop chemistry with each other... could just be random chance, but I wonder if there is a strategy there.
