Summer 2027 - new building, McKenna a Flame, Makar signs here for eight years, Calgary becomes a destination for players seeing all of these pieces fall into place... a man can dream. Crossing fingers!!

Exactly
We got younger, dealt with all our pending free agents, have some pretty interesting prospects, got a bunch of picks and have a ton of cap space.
Yet
There are those who are still unhappy. They want to lose on top of all that. Just like Oiler fans

Most importantly he didn’t spend any assets on rentals.
Gonna give him a B+ on the day, trading Markstrom for a good return would have made it an A

Sometimes the best deals are the ones you don't make.

Put me in the "happy to not have to watch a team intentionally tank" camp. Conroy sold the UFAs, got a ton of picks and got the team younger. And they are playing as a team and winning. Games are fun and they are knocking off some quality teams.
When Markstrom is on he is fun to watch. If LA lost out on Ullmark I could see them taking a run at him this summer. Lots of possibilities. Until then I'm going to enjoy watching the Flames and hope they squeek in.

Wonder if we see a deal where the Flames take an overpaid second pairing D for a pick.
If they are going to go for that WC spot and there’s a pick to be had for taking a bad contract, why not?

Tij is looking like he will go in the 8-10 spot. I highly doubt we pick better than 13th

I think it'd be for a center over a D man, they have enough depth at D.

I like how Alex Nylander finally just clicks in Columbus. Showing finally after all these years yes a player

Haven't heard that the Flames have made no more moves yet. Have to think that Conroy is sitting in the trade queueueueue right now.
