Default Francis talks to O'Mahoney (CFL)

http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Football/C...32788-sun.html

Quote:
"That weekend will never be disclosed," said O'Mahony after opening camp yesterday. "The organization has taken the stance that the past is the past and we're living in the present. We're here to talk football and I'll talk football."

When asked if some of the rumours regarding his disappearance were true, he scoffed.

"I think, on your part, it's a very unprofessional question and a loaded question," said O'Mahony of the obvious queries he knew he'd face upon his return.

While the question had to be asked, lets hope its left at that, out of respect for him.

I am not certain with pot stirrers (under the guise of "the fans want to know") will cease brininging it up if he sticks with the team out of camp *coughFranciscough* so the Stamps should step if he's asked again by any of those media types.

Obviously probably a lot of stuff that no-one was proud of or would like to re live about went on that weekend, so drop it.

I don't think he'll replace Dales on the team (I assume he's trying out just as punter..doesn't have the leg or mental makeup for kicking FG's), but a good approach on his part to push himself. When he gets dropped from Calgary, the Riders will drive the team limo ('78 F-150) out to pick him up to replace Congi in a heartbeat.

Whatever it is, its not the type of thing we discuss here. Player's personal problems and lives are not fair game on this site.

I agree. I think everyone has their moments where they look less than steller. The difference for athletes and other public figures is that they have more difficulty getting past things like this because the stories get so publicized.
