the issue I have with Frank is his personality. I don't question his sources at all, he's clearly well-connected ... but he just comes across as a massive blowhard. Pretty funny to hear that Bob McKenzie's his mentor because Bobby Mac to me is not only the GOAT in the business, but has also always struck me as a really likeable dude.

I'll be disappointed if Markstrom is still here after the deadline. Just keep selling assets (assuming you get a good deal) and believe in the vision that Conroy has. You can't seriously believe this team can "win" when you breakup your D core.

Marky had zero value at this time last year. Don't play with fire and risk a relapse in play. Sure they could move him in the summer, but you would think the trade deadline adds a bit more desperation by teams wanting to bolster that position.

So, Murray Edwards was apparently not happy with how Gaudreau treated the Flames... it seems from some reports that he took it personal.

I wonder what he thinks of Markstrom's comments. Maybe he tells Conroy to get rid of him.

Noodles was on Barn Burner the other day and was kind of critical of how Markstrom handled the question. He felt it was inappropriate for him to say what he did, but understands the feeling.

It would be stupid of the Flames not to trade Markstrom at this point…

Defense sucks now, and will suck next year. His value was at its highest before Tanev got traded, now he HAS to get traded or else we will not get anything meaningful after tomorrow

Pure speculation but I would almost put money on Edwards overreacting after Wolf got shelled that game against San Jose.

The reports were that he tore a strip off Gaudreau in trying to get him to sign the deal he thought he agreed to.

However, with Edwards that doesn't necessarily mean he took it personally. I've seen him do the same thing in another context - he latersaid it was performative because he was trying to accomplish a goal.

To be clear, Noodles was upset that Markstrom aired his grievances one day before Kipprusoff's special night.
