Fair points! I have Lindstrom ahead for sure, Dickinson or Catton I have slightly ahead but if Tij went over them I wouldn’t be mad. I think the outrage over taking Connelly instead of Tij would be incredible. I know I would be pretty upset to not only take a player I see as comparable, but with all of his off ice issues. Buium I wouldn’t be happy with but could get over it haha.

I honestly just think with how much negativity has surrounded the team for nearly 3 years now, getting Tij goes a long way with the excitement for the team moving forward, but that’s just me

It's lucky that there are "rumors" about ownership meddling for posters to get heated about now that the "flames will never retain" and "flames won't sell the UFAs if they are fighting for a playoff spot" talking points are gone.

Dont disagree love iggy as a player but most have him as a winger and this team needs a top six C. Getting those guys is usually top ten material. Would even move assets to get a chance at lindstrom but i think he goes top five.

trade speculation and discussion has honestly been the most entertaining part of being a Flames fan for the last two seasons. I will be disappointed when its over.

Was there anything concrete at all that suggested Maloney, or Bean or Edwards nixed anything at all? There have been multiple narratives on why it didn't go through, none of which have any more evidence than the others. People are way too quick, based on rumours and here say, to jump on people's backs and accuse them of something that fits their preconceived notion of who the "enemy" is in all of this.

I think he just commented that they don't need to just be picks, they can be currency for other acquisitions.
