Actually, you can search for "Sopranos" and you will see none of them have "SPOILERS" in front as far as I can see.

How can you tell you are watching too much Sopranos? I had a dream last night where Sil regains conciousness and survives the shooting.
I thought Tony was going to get the jump on Phil, but after that bloodbath I don't see how he has the ability to strike back. I'm not sure what to expect next week.

That's ridiculous... except I had a dream about the Sopranos as well. My dream consisted of AJ going over to Iraq, I don't think he was a soldier but he was over there, and Tony went back to the location where he watched the sun rise while on peyote but this time he was with some high school buddy of his. I hope the real episode is much better than that!

I dunno. I think the best payback possible, and I have a feeling that the writers are headed in this direction, is to see Phil end up back in the joint and Tony living the Life of Ryan in witness protection (also opens up movie possibilities).
Phil has stated in each of the last few episodes his dislike for Tony because he did not earn his leadership stripes by going to prison. Phil hates prison with a passion and that would be worse than death to him. This would be the ultimate F U and I think would be a fantastic twist in a show that has been all over the road map this season. This would certainly make some jaws drop. It would also make some sense, as there is very little of the Soprano family left that Tony cares about. He basically turned his back on his uncle and sister in one fell swoop. The crew itself is dwindling with only one main character left, and that was a guy that Tony was close to killing two or three weeks ago. IMO Pauly is in Phil's back pocket and I bet it comes out that he gave bad intel to the Italians that were in town to kill Phil, and may have gone as far as to warn him himself. Tony doesn't have enough soldiers to fight this war. If he turns, he wins the war all around, screwing his enemies and saving his family from a life of crime (Tony is doing what he can to protect his "babies"). I think there has been plenty of foreshadowing in this direction. It certainly makes sense when you consider how often the FBI agent has been around, and how chummy he and Tony have become (doing each other favors). I'm not going to be surprised when the show ends with Tony spilling his guts in an interview room and Phil being taken away in cuffs or shooting himself to save himself the mysery of prison.
Anyone else wanna share their predictions for the final show?

Hopefully it's too obvious and cheesy, but with Tony sitting on the bed with that big MF gun my mind jumped to a "say hello to mah litt-le fren" scenario. Chase better have something better than that though...

Haha yeah Im sure that won't happen, but I thought the exact same thing when he pulled out that bad boy. As for the finale, I have NO idea whats going to happen...but I just have this feeling that Meadow's gonna wind up dead somehow. Oh and that Pauly insight a couple posts up is very interesting, never thought of that before.
As for the guy bitching about the lack of a spoilers title, I did the same thing a couple weeks back. I knew I was playing with fire, but clicked on the last episode's thread, and saw right in the first sentence in the first post that AJ had attempted suicide. I just said "Awwww, f***!!", and was pissed at myself for checking. That's your fault bud, I don't know what you were expecting when you clicked on there.

It's pretty simple I think...Pauley will be the one to whack Tony. It's been set up like this for a while. In real life it is a close friend who eventually takes out the top guy. A couple clues: first Pauley was upset last episode because Tony called the Italians in from Sicily, remember Pauley was around during the 1970's when the Columbo mob war was going on and he doesn't want to see another full out war like that. Secondly, Pauley seems to have slipped in rank in the Jersey crew....When Phil was setting up his boys to take out Tont he wanted the top three guys taken out: Tony, Silvio, and the two henchmen of Phils suggested Pauley, but Phil responded by saying no, that Bobby was number three. This leads me to believe that Phil is either saving Pauley if he takes out Tony, Pauley feels shafted by slipped to #4 and takes out Tony, or a combination....either way I predict Tony goes down by the hands of Pauley, who joins Phil and amalgamates the rest of the Jersey crew, and I also think AJ kills himself. He is to mentally weak and I think all the pressure of his family falling apart will drive him over the edge.

My brain says The Familia is bang on the money but I just have this feeling that AJ puts a bullet in the back of Tony's head before turning the gun on himself.

Just watched it.
I think Paulie is A RAT!!! How comfortable was he in some KEY scenes during that episode? Commenting on the blonde's "stems," asking T if they can order a pizza. And then going over the top crazy when talking to Sil- "Does T know about this?!?!" Something isn't right there. Tony's instincts were right- he should've taken Paulie out on the yacht. If Tony does indeed go down, it'll be Paulie behind the trigger.
Like I said last week, the Junior thing needs to be resolved also. You'd have to think Tony will give him one last visit, but now that he's on the run, maybe that's impossible.
Tons of other leads from this episode also. Tony telling Carm "you know families aren't touched" was telling. Tony has done a pretty good job keeping his two "families" separate- something tells me they are going to spill over into one another in a big way. And with all the AJ drama this season, something has to be resolved there- I don't want to even speculate what that could be.
What else... after Sil and Bobby were shot, I was thinking, who are some of Tony's other friends that are left? The only one I could think of was Artie- I wonder if Tony reaches out to him or somebody for help in the next one. Also the FBI thing- I think that's a strong prediction. That it gets dangled in front of Tony, and possibly others, anyway.
Juicy, juicy, juicy. Phil has to get smoked, no doubt about that. And it's gonna be hard to do a movie with the majority of the main characters dead.

guzzy you know what i did when i first opened this thread without watching the episode first? i read as far as "Pauley messes up a hit on Phil Leotardo", immediatly closed my browser and swore at myself for being stupid. you have no one to blame but yourself
it's the same with every TV show that's discussed here, you simply don't open them if you haven't caught up if you're not prepared to read spoilers

Predictions? The FBI agent tells Tony that his sources know where Phil is hiding out. Tony rounds up Pauly to head over and as they pull over Pauly turns on Tony (nothing personal T but....) and puts a gun to his head......
Tony manages to turn the tables and kills Pauly....then goes back to get his family ...on the way over he reflects back on his life and drives away alone....going on the run by himself. Tying in to the whole "families aren't touched scenario" and leaving alot of options open for a movie etc.

I have a strong feeling that there isnt enough time nor desire on Chase's part to tie up all the loose ends and deal with the FBI, Janice, Uncle Junior, AJ's depression, NY, Pauley, etc... I think the ending will be more open ended than people like, and I just cant see a movie. Remember the Russian in "Pine Barrens"? Nothing was ever made about him and I think Chase liked the fact that it kept people guessing.
Lanny's post is definitely intriguing. To mesh a couple different posts, what if AJ "cant handle it" anymore, kills himself and by the end of the episode, Meadow and AJ are dead (Tony's real family) and the family is dead (Bobby, Sil, etc...) and so Tony is left with nothing.
This could branch off into what Lanny was saying (Tony flipping) or the death of Tony.
But who knows, Chase is a master at going directions other people wont (killing Pus.sy in the second season)...

I was a little surprised or disapointed with the episode. When a wiseguy is told by an FBI agent that an informant in Phil's crew has given the FBI information that Phil is discussing taking out Tony or other member of his crew. I think most mobsters would have gone into hiding. When the FBI was excavating the basement looking for the body of the loanshark or bookie that Tony had killed 20 some years earlier. He and Pauly took off to Florida immediately. (you notice that Phil was smart enough to go into hiding). But when Tony learns that his life is in jepardy. What does Tony do? He keeps with his current routine. Doesn't have any extra protection. Untill the failed hit on Phil happens. But of course by then it is too late for Bobby and Sil.
As for the possibility of a movie? Even if the majority of characters are killed off, it doesn't mean that there is less chance for a movie. A movie could consist of things that happened with these characters in an earlier time frame from the start of the series. Storys on Tony when he is a young adult and his father is running his own crew. Things of that nature.

I think whoever posted that Paulie is a rat is bang on the money. How did those Italian hitmen happen to end up at that address where a guy that happened to looked like Phil lived? How did Phil's crew know that Bobby would be at that toy store? Seems like too much of a coincidence to not have been arranged.
I, too, think the series will end with Paulie taking out Tony. I've suspected since before the season began it would end with Tony's death. I don't see Tony ending up in jail, the feds don't have enough to pin on him with only one episode left to go without someone turning on him. Tony turnnig on the family I suppose is possible, but I don't really see it either. The head of the family is usually the one they are after. If most of the other big players in Tony's crew are dead -- Sil, Bobby, Christopher, Vito -- who does he have left to turn on? The only big prize left for the feds is Tony himself. They won't make a deal with Tony to turn on Paulie and a bunch of soldiers, if anything it would be the other way around. To me, the series will end with Paulie taking out Tony.
