I am not expecting much else in terms of the deadline. With rumors Toffoli is on the way out I can’t see the Devils buying Markstrom and if they do I doubt their 1st is on the table.

Tanner Jeannot was traded for: Cal Foote and five draft picks,. The picks include: a first-round pick in 2025 (Top 10 protected), a second-round selection in 2024, and third, fourth and fifth-round picks in 2023.

Jeannot has 12 points this year.

If the devils did ever offer a 1st and Holtz, it definitely would've been completed already. All of us create these mock trades, but in reality you gotta reduce the value in return by 30% to get a more accurate potential trade.

Zadorov had some fans speculating a 1st round pick should be the return

Many of us (including me) underrated Sharangovich.

I think the Lindholm deal was universally loved

A lot of people were throwing Bourque’s name out there in Tanev talks

Hanifin had people mentioning Lundell as the return.

When Monahan returns a 1st being held together with scotch tape, and 34 year old Henrique returns a 1st, and the best you can do for a premium 26 year old Dman with 75% retention is in the same ball park (this Russian guy is nobody), I think it’s a Conroy problem.

His trades have been largely underwhelming. It’s a worrying sign.

The problem is the teams interested didn't have 1sts.
Tampa: No 2024 or 2025 pick
Florida: No 2024 or 2025 pick

So right away you are a looking at a 2026 pick.
So then you have Vegas come along with a potential 2025 pick or unprotected 2026 pick. And you may believe they are closer to the end of their window than Florida. Tampa I could see being a toss up.

Hopefully the team can buy some picks now, by retaining salary as the third party in trades. Flames have drafted well in the later rounds, would love a few more Wolf's, Mangiapanes and Pospisils kicking around.
