If the rumors are true thay Vegas wants to load up and get Guentzel too then maybe the 1st being 2025 or 2026 isn't a bad thing...
Becasue while the pick is 20th now if they make the conference final it's 28-32

Not even close. Doug Gilmour trade is generally regarded as the worst trade in NHL history I think.

Here was a deal last season for a better dman, with term and cost control. Basically the same trade with an extra second round selection.
I really think everyone has been over valuing Hanifin all this time.

the 1st not even being in 24 AND having conditions is the icing on the cake.
Like seriously, what the actual ####. I like Craig Conroy, but "underwhelming" would do an incredible amount of lifting when describing this return. Just absolutely brutal.

Holy overreaction...
Traded a guy that is walking at the end of the year for a 1st, 3rd that becomes a 2nd pretty easily imo and a solid prospect that they also want to extend.
Is it underwhelming, sure, but saying one of the worst in Flames history is comical
