I'm sure the teams and the league frown upon releasing anything until the trade call is at least scheduled.
Dreger never really can help himself in badgering whatever source at the league office he has to get the one name.
Plus, as mentioned, depending on the compensation for the third team, or, if the third team gets involved more significantly, there are other parts that may or may not be part of the original deal.

Hopefully it's like the last threesome I was a part of where I was really happy and satisfied but the other two parties were utterly disappointed.
