I'm always curious about 3 way deals. Like don't the assets need to officially be traded to the middle man?
Like in order for New Jersey to retain 25% on Tanev they had to have him for atleast a brief moment right?
Other than bad faith, what is stopping a team from collecting the incoming asset and just saying "You know what I think we will keep Player X at 50%. Thanks".
Anyways. Let's see this sucker!

If they’ve leaked one name and now are held up on extension details, it feels like the rest could just be picks. Which picks are TBD. It would be odd for the main player of a trade to not be settled up front
