Just read on X that the Flames have upped their offer to Hanifin the past week for 8 years, mid 8 mill with NTC. I don't know what to believe anymore.

He is out. Everything I am told is no new offer was tabled, the same offer that has been on the table is the only offer.

Edit: I should say last information I got which was yesterday was no new increased offer has been made. So unless that happened today nothing has changed. I don't see it, Hanifin has made it clear he is not coming back.

Getting better?

24 goals down to 6 in 76 and played at a 16 point pace last year. Back to a 20 point pace again this year.

Looks like Tampa overpaid and got laughed after the trade.

2.6 left for next year. Overpaying 4th liners has been an issue on this team.

I'm not familiar with him and if he's actually posted anything that turned out to be accurate before. There are plenty of people on Twitter that claim to have inside info and just mass report things and then delete what they get wrong.

that's been in the rumor mill for at least a month yeah. Per Friedman on 32 thoughts this sell off has been entirely against their will. they lament they can't keep this group together, and they've tried to re-sign *all these guys

I thought Leslie's comments were dismissed pretty quickly by most, but him and Hanifin do have a personal relationship so I believe Leslie saying that it's still possible that he signs here certainly wasn't a throw away comment.

Could also be the team driving up the trade cost for him. if there is a chance he signs here then someone might throw in something the Flames want to get the deal done.
