Kuzmenko? Mangiapane?
They may move Mangiapane if the rumors of him not being happy are true but they're not trading Kuzmenko. There's no reason to move him until this time next season if he or the Flames aren't interested in extending.

Or unless Vegas wants him for more than just a rental next deadline. He's shown his offense since coming to Calgary, I wouldnt be surprised if teams have inquired and tried to see if they could get him for cheap still

I’d say that the Flames should move Mangiapane which means they will keep Kuzmenko to start next season.

Markstrom
Hanifin
Mangiapane
Gilbert
Rooney

All traded by Noon Friday would be great.

Maybe Nashville wants to add as they are hot at the right time? They could be a spoiler in the playoffs if Saros shows up big.

After the movement this morning the D men Left as trade bait are

Hanifin 26,
Carrier* 27,
Chychrun 25,
Edmundson 30,
Dumba 29,
Lyubushkin 29,

*NSH is a playoff team and may not sell.

The owners will continue to 'want' more from the players even though they've got the cap and the 50/50 split now. The NBA has been shortening maximum contract length for a while now.

Wouldn't be shocked if the NHL owners try to do it as well. May have to give up a buyout or shorten the pre-season or something to get it.

But I don't think Conroy is interested in moving him this early. If he clicks with Huberdeau and Sharangovich that's a good thing for Conroy.

Despite what some on here want him to do he's not going to deliberately make the team as bad as possible. He may end up trading Markstrom which makes the team worse but it opens up a spot for the guy he hopes is their future starter.

I dont think Glass will ever become what he was drafted to be. Not sure if I'd want to sell Mang at his low point for Glass

Lyubushkin was already traded to Toronto.

Erik Johnson on the Sabres too, decent rental with Cup winning experience

Lol @ the Mangiapane hate.

That line is typically the only thing keeping there team alive every year.

Swap Gilbert with Oesterle.

I kind of like Gilbert!

It's impossible to type this without sounding sarcastic, but I assure you it's not. There's now trades starting to drop and there was no inside stuff on CP, are the insiders just Flames (I know sec214 appears to just be Flames connected) or do you guys hear other things in the league?

Cause I'd love to read other rumours, too, if you got them. We're Flames fans, but the rest of movement in the league is of interest, as well.

They will still sell and get even hotter, it's just what they do.

Not sure if J-A-D and Moervare being on waivers means too much but maybe the Kings are prepping for some trades of their own.

Glass is actually just starting to heat up, I believe he got a hat trick the other night and is looking good.

Honestly, what would you give up for Mangiapane? Those middle guys with Salary/Term are worth the least, just like Garland/Zucker/etc
