They want to control what location they play in.
3 year ELC, 4 year deal takes you to free agency. Don't sign contracts and start manipulating everything.
8 year deals are way too long anyways.

My sources tell me that Craig Conroy is talking about potential trades today. Hanifin is a name that keeps coming up.
I'm also told that any trades will happen before the deadline. Craig Conroy won't trade anybody after Friday and anybody on the roster will be here for the rest of the season. E5
