First period was pretty brutal. Can't start games like that.Other than that, decently entertaining game.

Not too concerned about the loss. Just give me the tradessss!

So close to tying it up.
We are going to miss Hanifin dearly.

This team has the ability to completely check out if they want to, I see some dark dark games once Hanafin is gone, and especially if Markstrom is gone too.

Kuzmenko did his part tonight. Oesterle is an absolute disaster and Kylington did not have a good game.

The latter 2 played like all stars compared to the play of Andersson.

And I'll say it again. Andersson should never get powerplay time. He pisses around looking for the perfect pass and refuses to ever shoot the damn puck at the net. Drives me bat#### crazy!!

Was the hit on Dunn any worse than the hit on Larsson? I don't know. Looked like they both got clobbered from the side.
Anyway, they're the ones who injured Pelletier in the preseason. Not losing sleep over it.

Now that the season is done, can we please move Hanifin and Markstrom so we can avoid doing something stupid like winning a bunch of meaningless games?

Well, the starts in both of the last two games certainly says something. It is great that they muster up the energy and will to try and come back - and they certainly did that last game - but when a team is supposedly fighting for their playoff lives, they come out of the gate like Pittsburgh and Seattle did.

Hopefully this will put an end to any ideas for the Flames to prioritize a defencemen coming back in the Hanifin trade that they can insert into the lineup, or to trade any assets for one that can. I wouldn't bet money that the Flames get closer to a playoff spot after this coming road trip, especially after trading Hanifin either before or soon into the road trip.

Any gesture from Hanifin to the crowd after the game?

We all knew the Flames weren't going to run the table for the rest of the season. They started poorly against Pittsburgh and came back. They started poorly tonight, but you can't always come back.
At this point in the season, a game like this just gives us clarity.

I have really enjoyed cheering for this team this year and tonight I loved that they went down fighting, pouring on the effort, and bullying the Kraken in a close loss. Also happy if Kuzmenko gets a 20 game burst of confidence.

Never really noticed Oesterle before but oof boy he struggled tonight! Love Pospisil, but given he isn't planning to fight (which is fair given his concussion history), he should probably not throw marginal hits like the one tonight. Ras is my dude and favorite defenceman but he had a ton of mistakes tonight. Needs to clean it up. Really tough now for the Flames to make the playoffs with the loss tonight...
Edit - forgot to give Kuzmenko a shoutout. Love that guy. Whenever he's given a chance he just produces. Would love to know his points per TOI compared to others on the team. I imagine it's right up there.
