He didn't ask for a trade. That is just Francis stirring the pot. Just like he asked the question that started this whole ####show, what else is new? That fn moron loves trying to get players to say something he can exploit so he can clicks. The problem is he pisses our players off and he helps give them another reason to want out of here. They were conjecturing.
Said that the Flames said they wouldn't trade him, so closed that off. Then in the interview Hrudey did with Markstrom, he dropped some hints. Then the Flames came back with a 'Maybe?' and pissed Markstrom off with the waffling, so he asked to be traded to put an end to the back and forth waffling of the mgmt group.

Something cooking or we just reading way too much into it and it's a result of all the icings
