Oh I've been beating this Drum for a while.

Its terribly unfair to the smaller clubs.

The problem is two-fold:

1. The big clubs love it. Understandably.
2. Football as a whole loves it, because these guys play so many damned games it offers rotation opportunities and keeps the money-train flowing and the Money-Plane flying.

You can make these guys play and play and play because you can rotate them more than you used to be able to.

But seriously, 5 -subs? You can change half your outfield? Come on.

Such an avoidable issue, everyone knew who it was going to help

Man citys 4th and 5th sub can be a 70+ million player

Chelsea's is somehow over 100m

Rest of the big 6 have players who would start for almost every other club in not only the prem but the world

You can make the case for international games, with most competitions being in the summer that maybe 5 subs works, but the playing game is at least somewhat known there

They can’t go back to 3 subs until they address the amount of games and the league-wide injury crisis. Of course that will never actually happen.

And then think about it from an International perspective.

Minnow team vs. Traditional powerhouse.

Those Countries could field a couple strong XIs whereas the minnow countries dont have 5 starting-quality players on their bench!

It just expands the inequality gap.

Best investment I've made recently is this IPTv box I have. I watched (live) Zagreb twice already, Palermo couple days ago, a Juve game they won last second against Frosinone, and, a number of City games. Even something as simple as the pre game talking heads yapping on sky sports right now from the UK is a pleasure to enjoy.

I was mostly inferring he wasn't going to select him at all cause that would be on brand. Will probably take Rashford instead.
