EP a -3 tonight too; Canucks are reminding of the 2019 flames that just fizzled after the all-star break and ran into the Makar show in the playoffs. Obviously still lots of hockey left but I’m sure the nucks are ready to be done with the month of February lol.

It’s tough to always be a team where players don’t want to sign an extension or for a discounted rate. You don’t get the edge the Rangers/Bruins/Warm cities get, and those teams know it. Which offer of buttons and lint from the bottom of their pockets is the best for our top players?
God I hope this is the start of a Carolina like build where it always comes from within and realizing that the most important part to your system/team is continually stocking draft picks for team controlled young assets that keep the pipeline flowing at steady pressure.

It's just like the Flames wanted Lindholm with Huberdeau and they never clicked. Or should I say Lindholm never clicked. May be he only wanted to play with his buddy Gaudreau.

I didn’t want him signed because the Flames already had Kadri on a long term contract. I didn’t think he’d implode this much

I wonder if in a couuple of years we may see this as a total fleecing? I thought we might see some of the good lindholm after the trade but he seems just checked out.
