I don’t agree. Reputation is overrated and draft picks are more valuable. There’s no sense in squandering value for the sake of some nebulous indeterminable reputation factor. Flames got 3 futures pieces. This is the type of stuff they need to do, plus they can take a crack at re-signing the guy in the off-season too, depending on how things go.

That's the problem in a nutshell. I think fans were hoping for more of a name prospect. Not going to beat up Conroy as clearly the market is just not what we think it is this year.

Initial reaction is pretty meh. It was 100% the correct call to move him but I really thought someone would make us a better offer than this.
