Darryl has to be there. As much as I think he was awful in his last year as coach (and last year as GM), he should receive a huge ovation.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.
Watched the little video of Backlund reconnecting with Kipper and the Markstrom rolls in and like.. ... talks awkwardly loud at Kipper like he's a grandpa "ITS NICE TO MEET YOU!!"

I remeber for the Iginla retirement, the crowd was roaring for the ceremony, but it sucked the life out of the building by the time the game started. Both teams were sluggish. The Flames lost 1-0.
Seriously though, is he the greatest 'crazy save' goalie of all time? Probably between him and Hasek
The 90s goalies were a combo of standup style still in vogue, undersized (but moviong to lighter) pads, and not monstrous in size. To me those guys made crazy saves.

He's up there for sure. Probably top 5. What made Kipper great is that he was also a technical phenom. My top 5 crazy save goalies during the butterfly era:
Hasek
Thomas
Brodeur
Kipper
Nabokov
Just hope they don't pull a Jagr and make Kipper get suited up to skate around the ice, stop a few shots etc. He looks, a touch out of game shape.
The coolest thing I've ever seen was Ken Dryden suiting up one last time in his 60's with a bunch of other fossils in Montreal. Even saved a couple of easy shots for one of their 100th anniversary things.
The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all. Yet hope remains while the Company is true. Go Flames Go!
