I'm a lazy fat slut and I won't benefit from this plan at all ...but it's still a better first step than nothing at all!

As a lazy-fat I've tried slutting, but haven't been successful in the latter.
Now give me my insulin.

I suppose I'm not a terribly successful slut either, if I'm really honest with myself

Quebec consumers will have fewer choices and be paying more for everything from coffee makers to washing machines if the government follows through with its revisions to the province's French language charter.

And if you want this crazily restrictive proposal to expand to your blood-pressure medication and protein-pump blockers you should consider voting for people that got you this absolute horse plop in the first place.
What a joke.

Does it cover all drugs that diabetics need?
Cancer and cardiovascular disease are the leading causes of death in Canada. So they won't be covered?
What a joke is right.

So much for 'THE FEDS CAN GET BETTER PRICING'.
More like, vote for me and we might consider paying for your blood pressure medication.

I don't know, but as I said covering two of the most prevalent and preventable burdens on the social and healthcare systems seems like a damn good start.
Poopooing this feels like its only being done for the sake of it. This is a good thing that has the potential to get better as it expands.

If the Feds become responsible for acquiring medications in order to get better pricing, what we need to do is have 'Medication Vending Machines.'
"You need two more quarters for M6 - Insulin. Please insert Quarters."
Or! Even better! Make it like a 'Claw Machine!'
You've got to try and grab the insulin...God forbid you get the Blood Pressure medication!
Or maybe like Skee-Ball where you have to win a certain number of tickets so you can go to the counter staffed by a 16-year-old and exchange them for an eraser, your medication and a decoder ring?
Oh the possibilities are endless!

Considering the types of candidates the West has put out for the last four decades, it shouldn't really be that big of a surprise.

Exactly. I wish it was more right from the jump and, yeah, it sounds like it isn’t. But if the government is saying “here’s where we’re starting, we’re building out this framework, and here’s where we’re heading” then complaining about it is just stupid.
Like, there’s a small cross section of people who were mad about the government handling everything, and are now mad about the government not handling enough. It’s pretty obvious what the motivation is there, and it’s not to actual consider this in a remotely intelligent way.

I agree, it was never going to be whole. That would be impossible. This is a good first step. Almost like a pilot project.
If people shoot this down as an all or nothing, what incentive is there for any government to apply anything in public? This goes for pharmacare relief, dentalcare relief, student loan relief, climate change relief anything. Do people want big gesture policies only,
Meanwhile the UCP is taking away abortion rights. gender rights, and privatizing your healthcare step-by-step under your nose.

Diabetes drugs was an interesting choice. I wonder if they'll cover Ozempic et al. Because $1B won't be close to enough if they do.

It was mentioned on Friday in an article that Ozempic would not be part of the plan. That is what my significant other uses. Here insurance doesn't cover it but my insurance did although I left that job in November and now we pay out of pocket for it which sucks.

Just call Ozempic 'Fentanyl' and the government will readily supply it. HAHAHAHAHA UCP voter joke.
