Yes they do - the chances of the Flames climbing to 12th overall seem a bit remote at this point though, no?

I stand by the statement that anybody who comes into this thread just to #### on Sec214, Dissentowner, or anybody else that chooses to share inside information should just get a temporary ban.

It's trolling, and ruining the experience for the rest of forum.

They share inside information at the risk of it not coming true. Sometimes it's going to come to fruition, sometimes it doesn't, doesn't mean they were lying.

They are passing along what they are hearing from their connections. Most of us dont have any connections, so reading stuff like that is rather entertaining (I think so anyway)

Agreed. I have come to like Sec214 and enjoy their insight and tidbits. Hopefully they don't stop posting anymore.

Is there a way to create a subform on here and give Sec 214 and Dissentowner approval access? That way they could control access to the thread to weed out the trolls from the fans that appreciate them passing on what they hear?

I really only come in here because I know they are posting updates vs the fan created "rumors"

Lots of posters get information, not just those two. And generating discussion from it is what it's about.

The system as it is isn't the problem. The problem is the asshats that want to #### on them for some bizarre reason.

Apologize in advance for contributing to all the endless BS, but because there's no where else to put it, how about grounds for a suspension for any post in this thread that isn't 2023/2024 Trade Rumors and Speculation Thread related?

Whether you like Sec's gifs and rumours or not, he's contributing to the topic for the most part. He posts a gif, then usually explains it after. If you don't like it, refrain yourself. Most do.

These back and forth comments regarding Sec, Hackey, etc. and who should keep posting and who should get punted are getting so old. Can't we just keep one freakin thread on topic??

The simplest solution is to discuss the rumour and not take shots at other posters for passing along some info. Insulting a poster isn't an opinion.

The funniest thing about the Markstrom thing is that I think it showed Sec has sources. Wolf starting and not getting pulled was a good hint and then Kaplan writes that Markstrom thought he was traded.

The tidbits are fun to discuss. Why #### on the people who post them

I think it would help if Sec stopped his cryptic nonsense and just posted information. The gifs are obnoxious and beyond annoying, and people are rightfully calling it out.

If you're going to go that route, just leave the threads as is and ban people entirely from mentioning them at all, overtly or obliquely. If it's stated as a rule out front, there shouldnt be a problem enforcing it or abiding by it.

I personally like the GIFs but I don't take them too seriously
