Boy I gotta say what I don't understand is why Philly, given their existing cap concerns would take on Dom's salary which is 7.8.

Well that all depends on if the other GM's play hardball or not. Noops has himself in a bad spot and if GM's are smart they will take that into account and force some trades that would not normally be done if not to clear cap.

Ah shiiiit, we took a risk and unfortanetly it's not going to work out. We end up losing Rozsival for a 1st rounder in 09. Hopefully the blue's make some really bad moves, and we end up with John Tavares.

I think it was worth the risk though. I have a lot of good players that i can move to get a dman like Rozsival who is one year away from ufa, and doesnt even have a 70 DF. Not exactly the kind of Dman i would have kept around anyways.

Whereas the upside, if hasek were to have returned could have been huge. Having an 81 OV goalie behind the offense i have, and then being able to move a goalie or two for a couple of good defensive defenseman, damn my team would have looked amazing. I would have been upper echelon for sure. Too good a chance not to take.

And to be honest i'm not overly concerned about my cap. I picked up conroy for pat rissmiller, who in the cphl would be a 4th liner. So even if i give away conroy, all i lose is a 4th liner. And if my cap works out, i get Craig Conroy, who is a 1st line centre in the nhl. He should play well this year, on a line with iggy for an entire season, as opposed to being barried like he was in LA last year.

Say what?

Edit: You should also click on KG's link to get the full story of Dom's retirement. Some interesting stuff in there.

That was classic.

In other news, I hear Philly has a 1st line center/superstar goalie package available (Conroy/Harding).

I started the bids with St.Louis, Gomez, Blake, and Mason and was rejected. Hope u guys have better luck.

No, Becky clicked the link. Becky wanted Noops to believe it a bit longer LOL

Becky discussed KG's link with Goffie, we were both ROTF but alas I didn't save the convo like nerdy Protto and I don't know how to use that clever thingy he put it in anyway.

And with the lack of Dom love in Chicago, I would still give you NOTHING for Rosival. You should have come to me first Noopsy

I hate to say it, I'm not trying to be a dink here, but given what he is asking for some guys, this might not be hard!
