Did he look sad and embarrassed? Might have been him. I didn’t see us on the Jumbotron when they mention it was Theo behind us while they were doing that Connect 4 game.

Anyway, I told him it wasn’t that bad to be beaten so effortlessly by a team like Detroit. Provides some small consolation.

Ironically, I am really craving Detroit style pizza again.

How is Connie & Johns?

Is there anything worse than having Patrick Kane ragdoll the Flames again? I hate that guy. He's had our number his whole damn career.

He's not a 1C. It's a lot to ask from him (plus carrying Huby).

Now watch this team win 4 in a row (again) and confuse everyone once again.

It really is astounding that Savard has kept his job. I thought he was supposed to be some kind of PP whisperer or something?

But this is so Flames. Tank and have a shot at first overall the year after the generational talent.

Celbrini is good but not generational
And the assumed first overall next years (Hagens) is probably a similar prospect

Yeah and don’t get me wrong, if we end up with Celebrini it’ll be awesome. But not Bedard level awesome.

Ohhh I was confused and thought you were talking about not fully tanking this year…you meant last year. Got it

The guy we want is Gavin McKenna in 2026.

Hopefully we’ll get some favorable league induced luck to debut McKenna at our new arena.

Yes.

This is serious bizness! No fun allowed!

You brought your children to their first hockey game, you jinxed it. Its a Flames game! That was inevitably going to be a tragedy!

I've been following this team my whole life and every single time you want something good from them Lucy pulls the football away!

Did you tell your children to steel themselves for inevitable disappointment? You didnt did you!?!? DID YOU??!

I doubt this team will be out of the bottom five by then.

The exodus is pretty big, 1C, second pairing, starting goalie... it will take more than two seasons to fix.

Seems like teams that pick first often have high picks for a draft or two after that. Flames are still a year or two away from being bad enough to get that first. So we'll be lucky if the team is starting to see light at the end of the tunnel by the time the arena is done.

He's looking crazy good.
McKenna just turned 16 and he has a higher CHL points per game than everyone in this upcoming draft except Catton, who just barely edges him out.
