The d zone changes Huska sold to get the job has been really really bad.
Sample size is big enough now.

I don't think they are playing any system in their own end right now, they looked checked out defensively. Like a team knowing and waiting for trades to happen.

Only pairing I've noticed in a positive light has been the Shilly Pachal pairing.
Even the Det play callers are saying good things.

People don't want to hear it because this team just went through a season with a coach going overboard and running himself out of town so the fan base is exhausted and doesn't want to entertain it again - but it's hard to ignore the same defense + Markstrom playing much better = much worse results. How? Coaching. Clearly their systems play and structure has degraded especially defensively.

When they execute their zone defence they are fine. When they get lazy and/or overcommit, they get exposed.
