Can't deny that I'm slightly bummed he's not sitting. Honestly, no reason to play him if there's even a sniff of a chance he'll be traded imo.

Regarding all the trade chatter, we are clearly getting info that is not even available to the usual media heads, so not surprising things may not come to fruition.

Still, my hope is he gets traded. Hopefully one last shut-out and off he goes for a great return.

With all the different sources talking Jersey and Calgary I think we can say there has been talks for sure.

If Conroy doesn't feel they are close then you start Markstrom.

You can't let the other team think you're leaning to just accept their terms.

The Devils "walked away" already according to some sources, maybe Markstrom playing another game makes them jump and get it done.

I don’t think GMs are making a decision on Markstrom basis day to day results. It’s not like he is a rental. It’s probably as simple as some info got leaked that was ahead of where talks actually were.
