Yeah, when I see trades.
Fyi - I am fine with letting all insiders do their thing. Just thinking we should be consistent considering Francis is on this forum too.

Francis is paid to cover the team he is obligated to speak on these things and when he is wrong it is fine to rip on him and very different than the die hard flames fans with connections that want to share what they heard with other die hard flames fans.

Maybe plan B. But the probable return isn't as great to me. Kaliev or Turcotte, a 1st or 2nd, and Rittich, lol.

I feel like with the term left on the deal I would be surprised they send Markstrom in division but I also feel if LA has the clear best offer then Conroy will make the deal.
He probably felt a lot more confident trading Lindholm to Vancouver because he will almost certainly be a rental. By all accounts Lindholm is chasing the money and a discount won’t be in the cards for the Canucks. Marky is a multi year commitment and opponent for the Flames which is why I have my doubts on LA

That isn’t a good enough return I don’t think.

Again though, its Markstroms decision.
He may or may not waive to any potential partner.
Sounds like the NJD thing was presented to him and he OK'd it. Does not mean he would do the same for LA.

We have no way of knowing for certain which team or teams Conroy asked Markstrom about waiving for. I can't imagine it would have been overly difficult for Conroy to have provided him with a small list of teams instead of just one.

Possibly but I have a hard time seeing him saying no to LA with the weather and the team being more competitive than the Devils. He likes the West with stints in Vancouver and Calgary so again I would be surprised if he said no to LA

I’d take the Devils roster over the Kings

The way i understood things was that IF Conroy had an offer he was willing to go with, then (and only then) he would contact Markstroms agent to take to his client.
But you could be right in that Markstrom was asked to provide a list of teams, it just hasn't sounded like that's the way it was going to occur.

not too thrilled about L.A. as a potential trade partner either. Really hope NJ steps up.

I mean.....if they wanted to give us Brandt Clarke, that's another story, but they would be insane to do that.

I agree it's why I have feeling it's kings. Talbot BSD can't get it done kings can go far with Marky.
