eight weeks. Not ideal, but I feared much worse ... at least no ACL.

Popping bubbles today!
That was actually very important for Arsenal to get close in the goal differential column.

The Manchester United squad in the last financial year is the most expensive ever recorded, according to a UEFA report into football clubs' finances released on Thursday.

United came third in the Premier League last season, as well as winning the Carabao Cup, in Erik ten Hag's first season in charge, although he did so with a squad costing a total €1.422 billion ($1.543bn) UEFA said.

UEFA's European Club Finance and Investment Landscape report read: "Manchester United FC's squad at the end of the club's 2023 financial year (i.e. before the summer 2023 transfer window) is officially the most expensive ever assembled, with a combined transfer cost of €1,422m. They have surpassed the Real Madrid squad of 2020, which cost €1,332m."

But the Glazers are the problem...because they dont spend money on the Team!

they are (were) the problem because they spend on the team poorly. It's really not that hard to understand.

But Ratcliffe/Ineos seem to do a decent job so far. Putting competent people in the right positions is vital, and you could do worse than poaching top people from top clubs. They've already convinced Omar Berrada from City, now they are trying to get Dan Ashworth from Newcastle ... they'll probably have to shell out some money to get him early and avoid a lengthy gardening leave, but it's worth it. Having Berrada and Ashworth in place for the summer is key.

If they’re really smart, they’ll do whatever it takes to prise away Zinchenko.

With CJ and Jota down, Salah comes in and gets an assist and a goal. Could not have come at a better time.

Its been fun. Both of those injuries are weird, they looked like fairly innocuous contact but Jota needing a stretcher?

Its been a fun game so far. Gakpo adds another.

Its nice to see Robertson play the full match and get minutes.

Now I'm going to do Slava a favour and watch the Spurs match. Whenever I watch they tend to win.

Liverpool have had 6 starters go down with injury over the course of just a few days, that is crazy.

Villa making a top 4/5 push despite being without Carlos, Konsa, Mings, Kamara, Buendia and Duran. They're both absolutely cursed and quietly impressive this season.

Only the five today - this is what you have to settle for without a decent striker.

Puts Arsenal top on goal differential now.
Crazy that they were way behind and went +11 in 2 matches. This could be massive in such a tight race.

Haaland having a disaster of a game, Man City will be lucky to get a point out of this.

As bad as Chelsea are; you know they'll take points off a top club in the title race at some point.
Glad to see it today

I think Haaland is being called back to his home planet? Or did that injury just really disrupt him?

We've got a real three-headed title race on our hands.
