I don’t need a thank you thread or thanks on my post to keep me motivated to contribute, I do it because I was know how passionate this sites fanbase are about the Calgary Flames and it brings me joy to share information happening behind the scene because I too was once in the dark waiting for the media heads to grace us with information.

Going to be a real shame if the 15% total phucking a$$holes ruin it for the 85% of people that enjoy these types of updates. And I'm willing to bet it's more like 95% who like it and 5% that are whiny pieces of useless crap, but the vocal minority that turns the internet into a complete cesspool will likely win again.

Because of you, this is the first time I’ve been excited about the flames and engaged in calgarypuck in a long time. This year I gave up my season tickets and I’ve had at least a game pack since I was 12(24 years ago).
I’ve been glued to CP the last couple days, bringing me back to my roots here and with the flames in general. Even if it doesn’t end up working out, I’m still thankful that you have been kind enough to share your inside knowledge as it has added a spark to my life the last couple days. There are a lot of people who appreciate you here.

Ultimately a far higher % of talks that go on between GM’s won’t amount to much so it is awesome to get a glimpse of some of those talks from people with connections. Truly frustrating even scrolling past posts that constantly challenge those juicy tidbits. So much easier to scroll by or ignore if you don’t want to read it. Clearly most of us on this board love this stuff so I will be super pissed if those few ruin it for the rest of us

@sec214 - please keep on keeping on. This thread gets us all thinking about hockey beyond just the Flames. It’s a positive in an otherwise unbearable forum at times. I don’t understand why people question or target the information. It’s just fun to consider things is all.

If Markstrom isn't in the starters net tomorrow it's all but guaranteed he's on his way to New Jersey. That's all we need to wait for. If there are delays like sec214 says, that will be our indication. No way would they want to start a cold Vladar over Markstrom in any other situation.

Just want to thank Sec, Diss and Rasta for your posts and giving us a slight insight to the inner workings of the team. I personally find it super entertaining but also understand that you’re simply passing on what you’ve heard and you’re not the decision maker. And for those who are critiquing, if you don’t like trade speculation threads then stay out. Don’t ruin this for the majority of us.

It seemed to me like you were taking a shot at dissentowner while encouraging Sec but maybe I misread that? DT is probably the shinning example of certain posters crapping on him for the info he brings to the table especially if it doesn’t go how he’s hearing from his contacts - see Gaudreau. Its tiresome is all, these are great posters who bring a ton to the table outside of the insider content they bring with them.
