Someone told me Walmart is planning on moving away from self checkouts, apparently the money they lose from theft is greater than the money they save from fewer cashiers.

Mine isn't great either, but zapping myself was my own damned fault for not double-checking the power to the affected receptacle was actually off. I just wasn't careful taking note.

To rectify this I didn't just update the panel schedule: I went to the trouble of mapping out the whole house and made power & lighting plans that indicate precisely which circuit every light and receptacle are fed from.

The abrupt tone change of self checkouts really GMG. Lady is all friendly at the start and as she's announcing the price of each item, but the moment it ####s up and the scale gets confused or whatever it goes to full Karen tone: "Please remove item from the bagging area [you piece of human garbage trying to steal from my benevolent creator]!!!!"

Yet I've never made a mistake and it's always the machine's fault. I do like to imagine the executive patting himself on the back for directing this change when the machines were being designed. "make sure the machine reprimands the customer to ensure compliance...otherwise we would have to continue to wait without aggravation for the staff to waddle over and give you the stink eye

Just change the stickers at the apple stand. Most cashiers won't notice the wrong sticker on the apples.

Could also be an auto-dialer spoofing the number. Some of them will dial twice if there isn't an answer the first time.
