Since the ball isn't landing anywhere, safe to assume Nylander is coming back the other way with 50% salary retention.

Marky trigger is pulled when Vladar returns from IR. Gotta be the hold up.

I don’t think that’s a hold up. Bring up Dansk until Vladar is good to go, his injury didn’t sound major. A team like NJ wants Markstrom in the net ASAP, and you take the deal if it’s what you asked for.

Hope Vladar is back soon. Wranglers sure could use Wolf down the playoff stretch.

A 2nd and a 4th and carry on.

Gotta think the Devils would love to get Markstrom before the Stadium Series game this Saturday. Would be an awesome welcome to the team

Would have been easier to leave him in Jersey and pick up our guys. But no Edward’s has to do things the hard way. Instead of reducing our carbon footprint he’s just making things worse.

That is the best approach. He does have to remember that he is dealing in some cases with GM’s who have been with floundering franchises for almost a decade and they might get mad if he does this though.

So very happy Conroy is our GM and thinks this way. He's 100% right too.

I imagine this was always Conroy’s thinking, but I’m curious if he said this today because of Coleman’s comment, to reassure the veterans.

On the flip side, the Devils were bottom 5 for 4 seasons straight and their young players developed just fine.

I think bad teams are bad due to lack of good talent assessment and procurement rather than culture.

Except I the case of Edmonton who were, and remain, No Good.

Bad teams can lose and win, without developing a losing culture. Well, some bad teams. Not the one up north.

No tank. Don’t want or cheer for losses, but will tolerate them on a path to growth.
