I bought a Phaneuf 3 the week before he was traded.
Jersey win though was I bought a JG13 while he was JG53 and he changed his #.

I met someone a few months ago who was telling me about the ordeal he went through to get Dube on his heritage classic jersey. Had to send it off for stitching to a speciality place to get the name bar and numbers sewn on.
It's basically unwearable now lmao

It's in an Edmonton Goodwill somewhere so I'm sure it looks great with some sweatpants.

My only "ragret" is basically giving my old blasty jersey away to Newsboy on x92.9

In the past 20 years I've only owned three jerseys, I chose wisely and haven't needed any more: Iginla, Giordano, Backlund.

That's backwards to me.
When I see an Iginla #24, they get ultimate respect, because they got in early before greatness was a certainty.

My wife got me a Blasty jersey for Christmas, so I thought it would be a good idea to embroider it with Tkachuk #19, one year and a half later he was traded to Florida.

I don't understand spending tons of dough for a jersey just because they are the hot new product.
Just go in and pick your favourite player. If they are traded away, it doesn't matter because they will still be a player you like (I assume).
I was a big Olli Jokinen fan from his time Florida and Phoenix, so I crested a Heritage Classic jersey with his name and I still wear it proudly.

okay, that is my regret, I had an iginla jersey and was getting 24 put on the day he changed his number to 12. So I changed it to 12, you can still see on one sleave where the 24 was. I wish I kept it 24.

Could have been worse. At least you didn't change the name bar to Wiemer!

I have a #21 Joffrey Reynolds signed jersey. Since he was charged for assaulting his girlfriend and deported, I have yet to take it out of my closet.

I already had 2 Iginla jerseys. I don't regret them.

I took the Dube to the Fan Attic and they can't do anything at the moment. They're waiting on direction from the Flames. They did say they could renumber and name if I could get the old numbers off. So I'll hold onto it and wait to see. And the kid is the proud new owner of a Backlund Blasty.
Flames Jersey Regrets:
Dube
Russell
Brodie (signed)
Tkachuck
Stamps Jersey Regrets:
McClanahan (first game I wore it he broke his neck) ( Now in Jail for murdering his wife)
Hughes
Bo Levi
I'm going back to wearing plain Stamps jerseys.

If the jersey numbers are stitched on get a seam stripper knife thingy and carefully start plucking away.
If they're glued on you are slightly more screwed.

That signed Brodie jersey should be very far away from a regret. Many solid seasons with Calgary, home run 4th round pick, fan fav for a lot of his time here and part of one of our best d pairings in a long time at the time in Brodano. I’d wear that jersey with pride!
