Oh oh Oilers. Fall flat against division teams ahead in the standings.
Not as good as you think you are.

			Kelly is clueless.
Getting the puck had nothing to do with Rittich. It's for the coach.

Another loss, another McDavid temper tantrum on the bench.

After all that talk on the ATL from them about the Canucks falling back to earth, that result is pretty delicious.
Maybe they both are |

the Oilers just are who we thought they were. They had the softest 2 month schedule in the history of the league and squeaked out a bunch of wins...now they have played two good playoff teams (neither has even been playing well) and got pounded

good thing they are double and triple shifting their top players in February

It's been a strange season

The Oiler and Canuck surges both have felt misleading. A lot went right and schedules helped their causes. I don't think either team sustains that level of play for 82+ games. It's amazing how the oilers in particular caught a lot of teams in slumps. Very few were playing their best. Maybe the rangers. It's the only game I can think of where I ate crow.

The Anaheim game yesterday was a joke too. One goal offside (?), one goal stick is knocked out of the goalie's hands by an oiler but missed, then they go ahead on a late 3rd period PP. A microcosm of what their "resurgence" has looked like.

But still can't get it done against teams they need to beat.

Pretty sure the Rangers were in the middle of a big slide at the time, they beat the Flames on a fluke goal...and that was the old Flames

I know games in hand but if the Flames had won the two battle of Alberta's they would be ahead of the Oilers in a season they are selling players and the Oilers set a team win streak record
